Faction Candide 3.0 vs Candide 4.0

Hey guys I CANNOT decide on the 3.0 or the 4.0 Candides in 191. I have heard the 4.0 is stiffer and gets "knock around" a lot because its soo light and big, however, the 3.0 is smaller and does not get knocked around. I want to be able to charge but be able to do some trickery throughout my run. I dont care about the width really for pow, I am fine with 112mm for Colorado Skiing. But if the 122 is still REALLY manueverable I would rather go with that. If anyone has any feedback, I'd appreciate it, Thanks a lot!

i'd go for the 4.0s just because of the extra rocker and my 3zeros really don't seem that maneuverable

I think difference between Candide 3.0 and 4.0 are similar difference between JJ and Bent Chetlers. i.e. difference between great 115mm waisted skis and great 123mm waisted skis

Are you looking at next seasons 3.0? Im pretty sure the new 3.0 and the 4.0 for next season have the same rocker profile with flat camber, 4.0 is i think just fatter and shares the same dimensions as the royale The 3.0 is quite different to the 3.zero now, they have the same waist tip and tail but have different camber and rocker profile (and they are made from different materials).

I would ask you about your other skis.....is this going to be your only ski or do you have other bases covered? Are you going to tour with the new ski?

Hi, happy to see you're interested in the Candide Line - you won't regret it !

As mentioned, for the 13/14 line, the main difference between the 3.0 and the 4.0 would be the waist, as they both have the same camber profile : flat camber underfoot, 15/300mm tip and tail rocker. Both are using our Superlite tech which mixes Balsa and Flax for a super light weight skis.
The 4.0 is a lightest version on the Royale, and shares the same profile.
The 3.zero has 5mm camber underfoot when the 3.0 has a flat camber.

It depends on what type of skier you are, and it you have other pairs of skis. The 3.0 is a better option for everyday skiing (pow, groomers etc) when the 4.0 is the right ski for you is you mainly ride pow and big lines.

Yeah I am talking about next years Candides. I just heard the 3.0 at 112mm was more effective swingweight whereas the 4.0 at 122 was almost too light for the size of the ski. I am leaning towards 3.0....thanks for the info though!
