Longboard gloves help

so im looking for a pair of gloves for doing tricks on my longboard. not slide gloves. my hand are getting ripped to shreds so im in need of some protection. any suggestions?

Use slide gloves, its better protection than any normal glove could give you and allows you to ride out rather than bail

I'd just get slide gloves so you have them if you decide to get into sliding. You can also make them yourself using corian and work gloves.

If you really don't want slide gloves then I'd just buy some work gloves at home depot or a similar store.

My dad randomly bought me a pair of these. I use them to slide sometimes, but I use them more for protection when I'm bombing big hills.

Heavy duty gardening gloves + plastic cutting board = you just saved yourself a bunch of money on "longboarding gloves."

i already own a pair of slide gloves. but the pucks get in the way when im catching the board with my hand for flat plants and such. any other suggestions for gloves?

I tried this once, and it did not end up as planned..... the plastic cutting board wouldn't stay stuck to the gardening gloves even when i put gorilla glue on it. Plus when I got them to stick for a little bit, my hands would get super sweaty and hot.

the pucks on most slide gloves just come off, so just take the puck off

well, most slidegloves have detachable pucks...
otherwise make em yourself and put pucks where you need/want 'm,
it's really not that hard and with a little bit of time and effort you can match the quality of the slidegloves they sell in the shops....

if you're however looking for a regular glove to offer some protection, i'd suggest getting some short cuffed leather working gloves, you know, the yellow ones, they're dirtcheap, they take the form of your hand quite fast and as long as it's just for a bit of protection they'll do the trick!
