So over the summer I may be helping to design a park ski for a company. Heres your chance to put in some thoughts for what you would like to see from this ski. Any thoughts on tip/sidecut shape, width, rocker/camber or flex is helpful and I'll take them all into account.
This is exactly what i was thinking except i think it would be very close to symmetrical, but not exact. And i was debating a slight tip/tail rocker or maybe just an early rise, but keep a fair amount of camber underfoot.
And sorry for the double post but the design ideas are great. I am currently on vacation in hawaii and i just bought a sweet tribal print swimsuit and the sunsets down here are great so that could easily be brought to life on the ski.
95 would be a bit wide for a midwest/icecoast ski, i would want something around 85-90 with about 15% early rise in the tip and tail and the rest camber. so like 120-88-120 maybe? and make a length right around 180.
It feels like skis keep getting busier and busier in their graphics. I want to see something clean, with a really modern-art style design. Just some simple abstract shapes. Primary colors. White topsheet with some bright blue or bright red designs. Same thing with the base of the ski, but invert the colors.
Slight rocker in tip and tail, symmetrical, soft in tail, soft- medium in middle and tip(different idk haha). Galaxy topsheets with neon sidewalls and neon logo on the base with a darker colored base. Just throwing that out there. And also fatter underfoot like 128-95-128 haha.
If you pizza when you are supposed to french fry, youre going to have a bad time.
I rocked ARV's (92 waist) this year at sunday river and sugarloaf and they did everything. I felt with the 92 waist there wasn't too much sacrificed with the waist and they were more versatile than something in a smaller waist.
Take the flex of volkl walls with a 95 waist in a 181 length with early rise and semi directional.
graphic wise I like space/astronaut theme. Maybe space battle of some sort.
