This is the 5th time this girl has canceled plans with me...I got the memo...She literally will talk to me for hours about what fun it is going to be and then she "falls asleep" Fucking bullshit I'm tired of her shit...Then she makes plans with me and I show up being my beta self...I'm really on the verge of just calling her out on it and making her feel bad I honestly am just pissed about this...Not even mad about the plans, but now this is more of a personal issue...NS what do?

the way you worded it in the op sounds like you kinda do. but from my experience with these types of things, it just not worth it, never is and never will be, gotta stop thinking about it and go out meet new people, which is the best way to forget! that or doing many many drugs

not worth your time man. you're devaluing yourself by continuing to allow her to do that crap to you. make yourself unavailable (even if you're just saying you're busy or have other plans) and don't answer her, at least not right away. your time is more valuable than that to get jerked around

Clearly, she hasn't figured out that the world doesn't revolve around her.

Time to call her out on her shitty friend habits. Sometimes we fall asleep or get caught up in work or we forget an assignment and need to finish. But responsible people set alarms, do work when it's given, and value time with a friend more than time spent watching 14 hours of re-runs.

I'd simply tell her it feels as though she doesn't make an effort to be your friend and that you don't want to deal with the mental stress anymore. If she cancels on you again, perhaps her friendship isn't worth it.

If she cares about your friendship, she will pull through. If she cares more about herself, she will fail you.

I think you're making a bigger deal out of this than it is. I mean, if you are ACTUALLY friends with her, why would she lie about falling asleep or whatever else she says comes up? And if she is lying then you probably aren't very good place and so who cares?
