alright ns, Im in need of losing weight because i'm the new Chubz.

is there any good ways besides just eating healthier? I already started running and eating healthier.

Yeah i've been looking to get into DH once i get the money to afford a decent bike.
also i'm feeling better today then other days because of the cardio.

consume less calories and drink a stupid amount of water.
The less calories you consume the more your body has to make up for when you exercise. It has to burn fat to make energy. Brink a BCA powder (branch amino acid) to stop your body from breaking down its muscle for energy. (google it)

Oh and drinking lots of water is just really really good for you in general. As well as flushing your digestive tract.

Here's a fairly simple thing to get the ball rolling. Work your way up to doing 100 burpees first thing in the morning. That'll build your cardio fitness quick and tone your whole body in the process.

Muscle building lifting + fun cardio + conscious food decisions = results.

Its a lot of work on your body to build muscle, as well as to perform cardio. This will increase your metabolic rate. The key is finding something you enjoy for your cardio, this can include swimming, running, or especially mountain biking. Do those two consistently and your metabolism will greatly benefit your situation.

Your real problem won't be lifting and cardio, it will be your eating. Strongman and recent bodybuilder Elliot Hulse once stated that getting in shape is 40% lifting, 40% eating, and 20% rest. Eating is a very important aspect of your health, don't sabotage your gains (or in your case loses). Counting your calories is necessary and will be well worth it.

P90X is a good way to loose fat and gain muscle and be healthy in general. If you just want to loose weight I'd suggest you get mono or strep throat because those take your appetite away like nothing else, trust me I had strep and lost 8 pounds in a week, and it seems to have been fat that was lost too. zingggg

- Only drink water (no softdrinks etc.)
- Exercise daily: ride your bike to work, take the stairs instead of elevator, go for a walk etc (no sweating, just being active)
- Breakfast: yoghurt, oatmeal, whole bran cornflakes (no pancakes/waffles/eggs/bacon)
- Lunch: Whole grain bread with vegetables/ham/cheese/bacon/guac)
- Dinner: No pasta/potatoes/corn. Eat rice (brown/whole grain preferably), with vegetables and chicken/beef/fish. Just stir fry with szechuan/teriyaki sauze.

Do that, and I guarantee you'll lose weight. If you're hungry: eat, but no bars, chips or cookies. The best snack is carrots (you can a 1/2lbs bag of peeled, ready to eat baby carrots for a dollar almost anywhere). Carrots are healthy, delicious and fresh. I like making a simple salsa with yoghurty, hot sauce and a little bit of ketchup. Dip it in that.

I haven't even talked about sports but:
Do sports 4 days/week and you'll lose 10 pounds in a month. No joke.

I've got a real problem with this, I eat super healthy (paleo, lots of veggies) all week, then at some point go "oh I really deserve this spoon full of ice cream and before I know it I've ate an entire gallon of ice cream and am working on my 3rd costco muffin.


and it happens every week and every time I promise myself "never again"

ECA (ephedrine, caffeine, aspirin)Stack works really well if you do it right. Just make sure and drinks lots of water and eat healthy or you will become malnourished and your immune system will plummit. I dropped from 205 to 170 in about 3 months.

Also, your body mistakes being thirsty for being hungry a lot of the time. If you get hungry a few hours after dinner drink a bottle of water instead. Your "hunger" should go away.

Base your diet around foods that look like food. If you don't know where to came from/how it got to be in that state don't eat it.

For example: fruit and vegetables are grown, eggs come from chickens and fish is fished therefore orange juice, eggs and salmon for breakfast makes sense. Where as pop tarts and cap n' crunch...where in the fuck does that come from? How is it made? If you don't know, don't eat it.

Also if the thing you are planning to eat comes in a packet and has more than 5 ingredients...it's probably bad for you.

Actually it isn't stupid, it's just pretty basic. Natural foods are always better for you than processed ones. Why don't you go and chew on a leaf. Or are you worried that plants might have feelings too!?

Granted, orange juice isn't the best idea. It's far from health food. Sure it has all the vitamins that an orange would have, but it has more sugar per serving than soda. Eat the orange. It has all the vitamins of OJ and the fiber that helps your body regulate the fructose in the orange. It's also more filling

On that note: I completely agree with your Paleo remark. In less than a month, it made both my boyfriend and me shredded (right before our Hawaii/Mexico vacation). It'll lean you out and make you feel energized and just better in general.

eating whole foods is good but saying eggs are good is just stupid. I would rather have food processed in a clean factory than food processed through a chickens reproductive system. why don't you just eat your own fucking period?

god youre a fuckin pretentious douche. eggs are proven to be good for you. sure they have a high amount of cholesterol, but there are other benefits to them. just because you have some moral objection to them doesnt make them bad

Spend the extra dollar and get the cage free organic feed eggs. Eggs are cheap enough as is and you'll notice the difference in the cage free organic feed eggs. They taste better and make you feel better.

Or you could buy chicks. They're cheap and easy to raise.

Cut out all drinks except for water and coffee

Don't eat bread, pasta, anything with flour. You can make up the carbs other ways.

Don't eat any food that has added sugar in it. Eat fruits for your sugar intake.

Basically, the easy thing to do is just buy ingredients. Stay away from processed stuff and you'll be golden. Combine eating healthy with exercise(whatever it may be that you do), and you'll see a noticeable difference pretty quickly if you work out hard.

My goal for the summer is to get in the best shape of my life. I'm not going to say I started off fat, but I just wanted to get leaner. Eating healthy, mountain biking almost every day, and running probably 4-5 times a week, 5-9 miles each time, I can visibly tell that I've just burned straight fat. Probably lost 8-10 pounds, not much, but at 185 and built, I'm stoked that my 175 right now just looks lean.


Shit I wrote an essay. My bad.


Cut out sugar, eat fruit and veggies. Eggs and hash browns in the morning, quinoa and chicken for lunch, and veggies and meat for dinner. You'll be golden.

Agreed. Up here in Alaska, the cage free grain fed eggs are always on sale and end up being cheaper than a flat of regular eggs from Costco. Money! A girlfriend of mine raises chickens and trades eggs for various things, too. :)

Restarted again yesterday with the running only because i've been traveling so much lately. All i can say is it does feel much better than sitting around on here or even just doing nothing at a friends house.

im in the same boat. i am stuck at 175-180 depending on my clothes. recently ive been working out everyday and i have been able to bulk up a little bit, but i need to gain moar muscle!

there is no tricktip..

just no cheat & no excuse too often.. Since november i lost 75 lbs, i know what im talking about.

If you workout 4-5 times a week + cardio you'll be in great shape in no time!

just try to always eat clean and you should look at proteins shake (iso-100 is the best IMO), eat tons of veggies and horse/chiken/turkey or other lean meat

Willpower is the hardest part, and for me i had to accept i could not do it on my own. i told my parents my goals, and as a result they keep no crap food in our house. My little brother reminds me to exercise everyday except saturdays, and i haven't missed a workout since june. I had to accept i had no willpower and if i wanted to be healthy i would need help doing it. I had to be accountable to someone other than myself. Family are great, so are girlfriends. Close guy friends probably aren't the best, they tend to suggest pizza for dinner and late night taco bell trips.

Also on that note, stay the fuck away from pizza. It has carbs, tons of fatty oils, usually too much protein if its anything more than cheese, and the cheese itself will add some weight. If you have to cut anything from your diet, pizza should be the first thing gone.
