This is an impossible question to answer. Go to a local liquor store known for their beer selection, get some beer from local breweries (unless they notoriously suck dick) and maybe a few interesting 22ers, decide what you like and don't like, and go from there. Appreciate cheap beers for what they are and don't become a "beer snob" who pretends that he's above drinking Miller Lite at dollar beer night just because he has a $15 six pack of double IPA at home. Nobody likes those people.
