Eggs are gross. They're the unfertilized gamete of the female chicken, bound up with the placenta inside of a thin coating. They're pretty much a chicken's period in a shell that we eat
raw with the white removed...great in smoothies, aiolis, tartares and plenty of other things...im not really much of a fan of egg whites. Egg yolks are quite good for you contrary to popular belief. They are high in the beneficial nutrient biotin, where as whites are high in avidin which causes a biotin deficiency. Cooking egg whites does lower the avidin levels partially, so if you are going to eat them, eat them cooked.
