Best area in NZ to move to longboard and ski park

I used to do a lot of great longboarding when I lived in LA but haven't done much since then. Then I was reading the thread in the ski gabber about Snow Park not being open this winter and thought, fuck it, I've saved up money with my BS real person job, can sell some motorcycles, it's time I commit to being a full-on ski bum in NZ in northern hemisphere summers and Colorado here in the winters.

So I want to get back into longboarding and I know there's a bit of a scene for it there. Where would you move if you wanted to longboard and ski good park at the same time? and any suggestions for good jobs to get?

and please tell me your source, whether you live there or not ( i think there are a few NS'ers from down south on here)

probably ch ch, after the quake. new smooth roads have been made (great for long boarding) and you've got mt-hutt and porters have semi-decent parks

If by NZ you mean New Zealand, then I would highly recommend you reassess your decision to move across the planet on the basis of skiing park and longboarding.

With that said, I'd love to go to new Zealand. Looks like an awesome place

I feel like moving to new zealand with no reason is good enough, longboarding and skiing? Fuck yeah.

Op, seems totally doable. The climate is pretty warm. IT could be cold as fuck and snowing on the mountain and tshirt weather and bluebird when you get down. A lot of mountain biking but don't really know much about the longboarding there or anywhere.

Also snow park is gone for good.

Park skiing seems to be,

2. The Remarkables
3. Hutt
4. Turoa
