Barons on Pettitors

I bought a pair of 179 pettitors a month or so ago and I'm looking to mount some marker barons on them for some short late spring/summer touring.

I bought the skis as demos and they had center mounted griffons on them.  I liked how they ski but would like to mount the barons back a little bit because I prefer my bindings a little back from center. 

Will I have any problems with the barons if I ski them pretty hard inbounds 75% and tour every once and a while? I'm 5'10" and 170lbs.

Any suggestions on where to get them mounted? (griffons at center now)?

Also, suggestions on skins? (179 pettitors)

Also I just checked evo.com and it says that the brakes on the large barons are 110mm and on the pettitors are 120mm underfoot...  Will this be a problem?

At your size, you might want to look at some burlier models, I've broken pairs of barons in ~25 days before. If you want to stick with the a lower DIN range but still want a burlier binding, I'd look at  the 13DIN tracker/guardian, -same construction, lower DIN range.

At that size, I would go dukes or guardians. I've heard about a lot of people breaking barons.

Maybe even AMF all time plate or this might catch your eye.

I'd look at Adrenalins as well. I've got a pair and they ski awesome, same feel as Guardians to me while being lighter and a bit cheaper.

go for dukes over barons. i just mounted up a pair of pettitors with a set of duke epf. unfortunately i wont be able to ski them until next year
