How good is good enough to get a sponsor?

Most people probly won't read this but ill post it anyway. I really want a sponsor like basicly every skier does. I'm confused by how good you have to be to get a sponsor because this ten year old kid from my local park got a sponsor (Armada NZ) and he can't even flip and his best trick is a 540 and On rails it's a blind 2 out. Can someone please explain how good you really have to be to get a sponsor because i'm really confused.

Honestly to get sponsored is not hard.  There's lots of company that have low standards just so you can BUY their shit.  To get sponsored with a well known company is where its at Click for larger image

Just go find a local company that sponsers little to now people, then throw together a really nice edit adn send it to them. This is probably your best shot at a starter sponser

It really depends. Chances are that the kid knows someone in Armada NZ and they just hooked him up. The real way to get sponsors is to go out and do comps. Show companies that you will give their brand good exposure. Dont be a tool. There are no set tricks that can guarantee a sponsor. Getting a sponsor is not all that easy, you actually have to be good to get noticed. But with so many kids today killing it in the park, it can be very hard to get noticed.

you need to do well at comps, know lots of people and have videos that get lots of views, ask what you can do for the company not what they can do for you, and most importantly, searchbar

Be unique and stand out. Just don't be another face in the crowd of kids like you. Do something that sets you apart and makes companies want to sponsor you.

I hate questions about sponsors ! Just ski and see what happens, I got a little local sponsor for 2 years in a row and didn't ask or search for anything.

Ask locally places. I doubt you will get anything for free other than some stickers. But you will most likely get a discount

A lot of sponsorships kids brag about are really just promotional things and they get like 10% off. To get sponsored is all about comps and big events like windells or something.

why do you need to be sponsored? Its just a stupid claim for 13 year olds to brag about.
Go to the hill and have fun with your fellow skiers. Smoke some weed and bump some beats.
Comp skiing is lame anyways. so fuck it.

It really depends on the sponsor..if you want to get sponsored by a major company, you have to get it done on the highest level. (X Games, Dew Tour, etc.) Or you could be a wizard and get sponsored by Line. You don't necessarily have to do huge tricks..but huge tricks can get you sponsored.

Unless you're friends with someone who owns a small company and they think you're good enough to be on their "team" then getting sponsored by some small easy company no one has ever heard of is pointless. I see way too many kids wearing shitty oversized hoodies and tall t's from their "sponsor" no one has ever heard just so they can feel like they're better than all the other kids at the mountain. Just because someone gave you a poorly sewn gross looking hoodie for free doesn't mean your a better skier than everyone who's not "sponsored".

Don't have getting sponsord as goal. Have fun skiing. If you make an edit, don't send it to the company/shop. Put it on the web. If it's "good enough" people will watch it. Oh, and if you want really sponsors ASAP (for example let's say you want to get sponsored by this local shop), build a connection with the owner. I have good connections with this local shop and the owner asked if he should sponsor me without even seeing me ski.
