For Media/Arts specifically, I think direct links to the cults (Photo, Producer, Journalist) would encourage more use of those. For example at the top of the page, above 'create thread', have bolded links?

That would take away a lot of people coming into this site. Plus, 200 posts is a lot of posts. I mean, lots of people join this site when researching skis and ask for help and suggestions.

All popular, trending threads should be put on the front page, even NSG threads.

When I made the petition to ban dolan (which was successful--thank you NS) it didn't make first page, ridding me of my stardom. It's a debacle

With an addition to "My Threads" make "My Videos" where you can favorite (special button maybe a star idk) a video and if someone comments on it the video gets bumped in your "My Videos" just like how "My Threads" works. It would also help because then you don't have to go searching for a video that you want to watch later.

Regarding quoting and finding where that quote came from, have a little button in the quote next to the time stamp that links you back to that post and highlights it. It's a common feature on vbulletin (which i despise)

there needs to be a quick reply button at the bottom for post under a certain amount of characters, this way you don't have to pull up another window to reply a short reply to a thread. I've been on other forums that have this and it is quite conveniant.

Nope. If you could do that people would just post something offensive, then edit it later and cause tons of butt hurt. Part of why NS is great is cause you can't edit posts or titles, makes for funny responses to mistakes.



I would like to see a way to quote a video even though they added no text. So you could show the video you were quoting.

maybe instead of having a "reply thread" button that took you to a separate page, you could reply to the thread from the bottom of the thread

1. Revamp the fancy editor to work without webgl.
2. the upvote/downvote system is useless. Either make it tied to karma, or do away with it.

I think its all or nothing for mobile quoting.

And karma being tied to upvotes would be tight, I think NS was pretty quick to adapt to the voting system, so it would only be logical [spock.jpg]
