basically increased volcanic activity has increased the amount of sulfur dioxide in the atmosphere, which counteracts the negative affects of greenhouse gasses. there was a lower rise in climate warming over the past 10 years than was expected, which is a really good thing to hear
i think he means that it's not the fact that predictions are coming true, but the fact that these predictions aren't outside any normal fluctuations of temperatures and climate zones which have existed in the past.
anyway, global warming is completely true, but i don't think we will ever have a problem adapting to it. it's the same as the extinction of some animals - we don't like it happening because we're not used to it and we will have to experience changes in the future, but in the long term it won't cause any unsolvable problems.
