I love your local hill!

When I'm checking out the pics and vids, I am always amazed by some of the great features that the smaller local hills are putting out. I feel like a lot of the fabricators for the big areas have lost their creativity. It's like, "I know, let's make another flat down flat, but make it bigger. Won't that be sick"! The local hills have smaller resources, but they are doing more with less. The first thing I think of when I see a lot of posted pics, is that thing looks fun as shit. Then I head up to Vail and it's kind of a let down.

Not trying to sound like an ungrateful whiner. I'm hoping that some of you will figure out who your local frabicators and park guys are and buy them a beer or at least tell them you are stoked about what they are doing.

Vermont is my home-- but while im out at school in Syracuse i'm always appreciative of what my local mountain park crews can do with like 700ft vertical.

So here's an idea. Post pics of your favorite features that your local hill set up in this thread. Then maybe other local park crews can check it out. Help out the folks who have crappy or no parks.

when i came back from winter break the hill i ski while at college had absolutely nothing, i really pushed them to build park...

if you build a dope park =  THEY WILL COME


now they have 8 jumps on like a 500ft vertical :)

I love small hills. Edmonton makes you appreciate dumb things on a 200 foot long run. It's the best when you go to some random hick town and they have a cool park on their hill and you're like wha?

This f-117 cockpit thingy isn't super technical, but it looks like you could do all kinds of butter tricks on it. I could see hitting it from the side switch and no press 270ing off. Not sure if I could do it, but it would be fun to try.

At cannonsburg ski area in MI they've been recreating popular urban rails from the area. The burton rail on the right is a replica of the rail at lakeside elementary and the one on the left is a replica of a rail at aberdeen elementary.

that one looks fun as hell! I heard someone said Are is going to place an airplane in the part, don`t know if it`s true, but that would been sick as fuck. For a couple of years ago Are had placed an boat in the park so you could grind on the bottom part, can`t find any pics.

Friends of mine had a couple of fibreglass canoes that we were going to set up and jib, but the snow melted before we could get around to it. I think something like a cap sized boat would be so fun.

That was a t whistler too.
I love whistler park, but being at sere chevalier in france has broadened my horizons. its not a huge park but it has some dope lines! 6-8 features and a dediacated park tbar

Little Ski Hill outside of McCall Idaho always comes up with sick ass shit for their rail jams. This year they had a flat up box to a flat rail, it was so gnarly.

Holiday Valley just set up a sick rail park for a Breast Cancer event. Such good flow, a lot of tranny, and really cool features. Their main park is also really sick this year.

This looks like you can stand inside of it. How sick would it be to ski up to a feature and have a choice between jibbing it or walking inside it and having a cold beer or hot beverage.
