I have some old school line 1260s that are still okay bases are beat to fuck but are okay. And many other skis from park riding, and none of those have ever broke. The only thing i have ever broke is a pair of marker bindings from taking a jump to deep. How do you guys fuck skis up so bad?
Depends what you're doing with them. I'm a huge rail junky and I have never snapped a core to my knowledge (my line anthems were so buttery I wondered sometimes) but I have gotten gnarly edge damage and my top sheets usually look like garbage a few weeks into the season.
I'm willing to bet that people who focus on jumps and drops definitely break more cores just because the impact is so much harder than if you predominantly ride rails and jibs.
