choosing a mountain
so ive got the choice of anywhere in north america (excluding alaska sadly) to go skiing in march for 1 week. i love park, but being an ontarian i ski no back country. and i love to ski back country. so i need so help choosing somewhere dope to go. ive been lookin at park city, hows the BC there? and whistler is out of the question, i was there not too long ago and i want to go somewhere else. so throw some shit out.
alta for backcountry, squaw is nice if the snow is nice while you are there, heavenly is alright but the snow there is kinda unpredictable
thats for democrats, and the stinkin liberals too
i havne't skied out west yet(I live in Atlanta, I have no money, and no one in my family skis, so I don't have many opportunities to ski), but you can't go wrong with Utah. It is so damn cheap. Stay in the city part, near LCC or BCC, and get the salt lake city superpass($40), which is a lioft ticket to snowbird, alta, brighton, or solitude, and a UTA bus pass, airfare can't be much over $250, which leaves you with a trip of 5 sking days at $600.
If I could go anywere I would go to Snowbird/alta, but that's more of the BC skier in me talking. In the Tahoe area, youve got Squaw and Alpine just down the road from each other, both have killer big mountain scenes and great parks so you can't go wrong. Those would be my suggestions.
