I'm going to pick up a new jacket sometime between now and the end of this year and I've narrowed it down to these three brands. All seem to make good looking quality outerwear. I'm looking for opinions from those who have owned gear from some of these brands. Overall which of these three is the most quality made coat for everything from warm park days to 0 degree powder days? +k for help
If we combined them and took the homosexuality of dumbledore and that massive staff of gandalf, we would have a force to be reckoned with - God
I have both saga jackets and a bloom one. I prefer the bloom because its the perfect weight where I can layer underneath it if I need, but still wear it on mild days as well. The fit is extremely nice on bloom as well, but I don't have anything bad to say about saga either
I own a Bloom jacket and definitely will buy one again. Jim is super nice, they have a great costumer service and you get a super sick jacket that is light, has great water resistance and breathability and has the perfect fit. I definitely recommend buying Bloom!
I mean i got a handwritten note after buying one of their jackets thanking me for the support and love from Europe. haha. Bloom is legit!
Don't buy Bloom. I had their first year pants and they were made with cheap material. After the first day the cuffs were cut up pretty bad. I ended up getting different pants. I'm not sure about this years line though.
I've never ridden Bloom or LD, but I have a Saga King Cobra jacket and Smoke and Mirrors pants from 2(?) years ago. It's a great set up for the money. The fit is great and the material is pretty durable. Only minor rips on the pant cuffs from ski edges. The only complaint I have is that the waterproofing on the jacket sleeves and on the pant butt seem to have worn away pretty significantly after 2 years. Then again, I suppose not everybody has shitty lifties who don't brush the snow off the chairs after fresh snowfall so I ended up sitting on snow a lot of the time haha. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about Saga and would gladly buy from them again. Great customer service as well. I'm interested in what they have to offer next year with the new 3L and 2L lines.
I owned a LDC jacket last season and it was pretty good stuff ! and if im rigth i remember jim telling me that bloom was manufactured by the same ppl at LDs and bloo mis just an insane compagny , best customer service and look dope go for bloom!
All three seem like they're gonna be good. I own a Saga jacket and have friends with the other two who really like them. All three offer several 20k/20k 3L designs if I'm not mistaken, so it just kinda comes down to the exact sizing you want, and price.
I work at Mt Hood Summer Ski Camp. PM me with questions.
LDC has improved every year that a new line drops, it depens which year you are going to get. one feature on lethal jackets is a magnetic hood so you dont have to dick around with a button every time. super helpful for switch tricks.
