Im looking to buy new skis

I want to start getting into skiing with some friends but i dont know what type of skis to start of with any suggestions? I have only been skiing once or twice and each time i went i had to rent skis

Don't get a park ski. If you're set on twins, get an all-mountain twin such as the Volkl Kink, Atomic Panic or K2 Sight. You could get all of those fairly cheap with some research.

A line mastermind is a great ski to start with. Soft and forgiving and only about 350$. Check a sport chek If you live near a city you can likely get a good deal on a set of twins with bindings. Check kijiji or Craigslist for a set of used skis if you have only skied a couple times it probably isn't top priority to have a brand new pair of 600$ skis. If you buy a cheap pair of one directional skis that you could use for the rest of the season then at the start of the year you could check out a ski swap and get some nice used twins for a good price.

Yes. The ski you want has to be at least 125mm underfoot otherwise you won't progress as quickly as your friends.

Try the "DPS Spoon." It's great for beginners. Slight twin, and works great in all conditions. If you look at the guys in TGR films, they're all pros, right? They aren't skiing on super skinny skis. They are on fat skis.

If you want to be really good your first few runs this season, the Spoon or maybe ON3P's Pillowfights are the way to go. But choose one of those. Nothing else.
