Good afternoon all. Let's get right to it, shall we? I ski east coast stuff, northeast whenever I can, planning on hitting Quebec next year but right now still in MA. I'd say I'm an Advanced Skier, although that is comparative to what I see from locals and vacationers in Killington. I like to do all terrain stuff, powder and moguls when I can hit them, and some tree runs when there's enough of a base. I'm 5'11"-6'0", 155 lbs (but bulking up), and 18 y/o.
I had a demo day on my local mountain today, tried about 4 different skis, and ended up liking the feel of the Blizzard Magnum 8.0 TI's more than anything else (meaning Atomic Smoke TI's, Rossi 88 Exp, and the K2 Rictors). I'm currently working on a 5 year old pair of Head i.XRC 500's, so anything made now is a step up.
The Blizzards had an 80mm foot if I recall correctly, but some of the other All Mountain skis I've seen have gone up to some crazy widths (the Armada Norwalk's spring to mind), and I'm also wondering how much that extra width really effects the feel of the ride.
