hey guys, i am looking to buy new powder/ all mountain skis later this year. i have done some research and narrowed it down to these few skis. im a pretty light guy so i was wondering what you guys thought about which over all selection i should make.
the skis are: moment bibby pro. on3p caylor. bluehouse precinct. faty-pus i-rock. and liberty double helix
I own the 184 bibbys and 191 caylors. The bibbys have a little more camber than my caylors do which makes them quite a bit easier to ski on hard pack (along with them being shorter). However I feel like I can ski through or over just about anything with my caylors which is something I love. If I had to pick between the two however I would probably pick up the 190 bibbys. No experience with bluehouse or faty-pus. I have a pair of old liberty helix before they added early rise to them. They started to delam so I cant say I am overly impressed there.
Long story short you cant go wrong with the bibbys or caylors.
While Caylors can crush it everywhere, it's a a big ski for a lighter guy. Maybe look at the Jeffrey over the Caylor? Sounds like more what you want, it would be my choice if I was to only take one set of skis for a season. Don't get me wrong, Caylors are absolutely sweet and make a great everyday ski for someone who loves having a wide stable platform underfoot, but for something for a mix of fresh, potatoey leftovers and whatever comes after that, Jeffrey!
