NS,
This OSC username was officially made approximately 1 hr ago to track the progress or potential lack-there-of of a ski project we just kicked off, entitled One Ski Co. and affectionately yet randomly abbreviated, OSC.
The aim of the project, at its core, is to support the independent and real aspects of our lifestyle and sport - be it through up-and-coming skiers, artists, production companies, underground clothing companies, and anything else that relates to the ski lifestyle - including, but not limited to, deep pow days, long rail rides, and unrelenting face shots.
Yes, with this project, you'll get ski/sex double entendre's for days.
Now that you're slightly and inappropriately turned-on, you can take a look at the site in beta here -
www.oneskico.com
If you read that and still have no idea what's going on, you can get a fuller read on the long-term ideas of the project here - https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/685141/
Assuming that you opened the thread and closed it due to its excessive length (yes, we would as well), it'd be legit to get some feedback on the look and direction of the site itself so we can be sure to put out the right content at the right time.
Mainly, it'd be real good to know a few deeply burning questions that have kept us up at night -
1. How does the site look and is it at least somewhat easy to follow?
2. In the future, would you prefer buying new skis or would it be better to get good deals for demo/used gear? Some combination of both? And of course, we can always do no selling at all, just support for legit brands and people..
3. What content wouldnj be best to read in the remaining season? Music for edits/skiing, independent clothing companies, artists, up-and-coming skiers, etc..
4. Turns out, we can get some black face-masks with our red logo ready to ship by the end of Jan. Would people be down to buy for a good price like $10 shipped or would it be better to wait on next season? They look pretty tight but that's a 100% biased assessment so, judge accordingly.
Alright, I'm sure there's a lot more to say but that's all for right now. Quite honestly, we've been playing quarters for the past 4 hours and this post probably should be saved for tomorrow anyways but, whatever...doin it.
Any and all feedback is welcomed as we are fully aware we won't pursue everything right the first time around...most likely not even a fraction of it right the first time around/
And if the less-than-960-pixel-pictuvres and poorly-photoshopped-photographer-names didn't tip you off, this isn't a largely-funded corporate project, this is truly an ongoing, keep "skiing, listening, creating and supporting indie" kind of project, brought to you by occasionally-motivated, yet, always under-paid ski bums.
+k to all with something to say - good, bad, or otherwise. At the end of the day, it's all appreciated and it's all good.
OSC.
