A lot of guys ski with either the SethMo or the Konflict (both of which have an 8 flex tongue) in the park, as although it's one of the stiffer boots FT make it's still not super stiff. The only difference between TWalls pro model and the Konflictis other than the tongue is that the TWall has a full rubber sole, whilst the Konflict has a rubber block. The other major difference is that the Konflict features the more durable Aluminium buckles whilst TWalls has plastic. Just as a note both have the active boot board, which really is essential. The beauty of FTs is if you do find the 8 flex just too stiff, you can change the boot's flex by only dropping a little £££.
While you say there is no such thing as a park boot, I will agree and disagree. A "park boot" has things that I would not go into a park without. The footboard is made to absorb impacts. "racing" boots won't have this. Just a rigid plastic footboard and the liner. Konflicys have the impact absorbing footboards so they are great for park skiing.
it doesn't matter which boot you have, change out the tongue (flex) of the boot and you have a park boot, heck... put a #10 in the dropkicks and you have a freeride boot
what ever is the most comfortable fit will be good. dont get a park boot just becasue its a park boot if a free ride boot will feel better on your foot
