Candide Thovex was the first skier to hit chads gap? At age 17!

Just in the middle of watching Few words(holy shit it's good) and they're showing how chad is attempting chads gap in 1999, he just misses it twice and doesn't go for a third, then Candide(only 17 at the time, what the fuck) asks him if he can hit it, and first try just completely gaps it perfectly. I don't think there's a video of it online(the only similar one is of the next year when he hit it) so buy the movie! definitely worth it.

Candide not the 1st to hit chads gap....Just the 1st videotaped doing so and put in a movie about it.

Old boy named Kris Ostness(spelling unsure) was the 1st.  Candide indeed made history though.

No, Kris was there but he was a filmer I'm pretty sure. Watch Few Words. Chad Zurinskas (?) tried a few times but fell, then candide cleared it

I was really stoked about few words. This guy contributed so much to our sport, and the movie really shows the way he took to get him and freeskiing where he/it is today. And also La Clusaz looked so brilliant in this film, basically a natural terrain park all over the place.
