For everyone whos scared of dark deep water.
I went scuba diving in the ocean (halifax) at night. At one point i was down maybe 45-50ft, my buddy was nowhere to be seen (probably behind a rock or too far away). all i could see was seaweed... every fucking direction. not to mention i can ONLY see the small area where my flashlight points and even then for not much farther than 10m. so there i am, bottom of the ocean, cold, alone, cant see shit. I am trying to remind myself about how much fun im having. yay.
And then 20 mins later i surface... far as fuck offshore at 10pm... unfamiliar waters... little to no air left in my tank... no idea where the car was parked... look down and all i see is blackness.
It was a trip of a time and i would 100% do it again!!!!

Something that scares me that shouldn't: needles. i had a spinal tap and ever since then needles and i are not on good terms. i even tried to donate blood since then. Needles to say, it was a bad time. (no pun)

needles and blood health shit, i cant explain it its worse some days more than others. seeing blood doesn't bother me one bit, i have watched surgery and taken some pretty gnarly wounds. but if i have to listen about some disease symtoms or health stuff about blood veins and shit i get all squirmy and feel uncomfortable, and i have even passed out multiple times because of it. also i dont know why that tryphobia freaks you all out, it doesn't seem to bother me.

Probably big ones but as a kid I had a cottage on the lake and I caught a bunch of these water snakes..and same with looking at thingys underwater and you're floating above them mainly because you can't do much in water

I'm also afraid of scuba diving. Never will I ever scuba dive. Two of my friends died while scuba diving on an oceanography field trip when they were juniors. Once they passed away, I had the hardest time swimming in Lake Tahoe. I'd hyperventilate and freeze up in the water. Last year (the year after their deaths) I decided I needed to buck the fuck up and deal with water, so I did. But I'm afraid of scuba diving. Always will be.

i don't care really about getting blood drawn or getting a flu shot, but seeing people shoot up heroin or stuff like that really rubs me weird. just makes me uncomfortable

also swimming in lakes and jumping out of boats into really deep water. fuckin scary mann

ths, or swimming when the water below you is so dark due to seaweed or something so you can see it. I love to swim and all, but water in general and its life freaks me out a bit.

This, it fucking sucks. I honestly don't give a shit about needles any more, I know they don't really hurt & they only stay in you for a few seconds, and I even managed to inject myself after an operation for about a week or so, it wasn't that bad.

Seeing someone else messing around with needles, though, like in heroin documentaries, or having to listen to the way diseases develop and what they do to your body, that really makes me feel weird & uncomfortable and I hate it. Ugh.

that's a pretty legitimate fear. I know a lot of divers that are amazing divers...until you put them in black water, i.e. water that has 0 visibility. it's very nerve racking. it doesn't really bother me any more, but boy it sure did the first few times I did it. it's very claustrophobic feeling.

My dad had a case where a mans flip flop got stuck in the grate thing at the end of the escalator and ripped the guy's toes off. Now I hate getting off of escalators.

Well, sometimes you have to if youre kayaking. But the lake that i live on only has them in the shallow end and thrre arent very many. So whenever i get out of the water i book it.

Because odds are, no one saw you fall, and no one's coming back for you. The idea of being there in the water, watching the ship chug off into the distance is horrifying.
