Best Skier on Earth?

Overall best skier honestly has to be Henrik. He learns new tricks pretty much every day, slays BC booters and bombs off cliffs, uncanny urban game, and slays pipe. I don't think there is anyone who is as well rounded as him.

Nope. It's definitely some dude that none of us have ever heard of, because he cares about skiing more than getting his name out on Newschoolers.

But as far as skiers we've heard of goes, show me a video of Henrik flashing big-mountain lines like Candide does, and I'll believe you.

You cannot compare talents in a sport as diverse as ours at all. In reality most peoples responses to that question are gonna just be there favourite skiers.

I mean, the way Seth Mo shreds backcountry is completely different to pollard but Im never gonna claim who is better. Like wise, Seth Mo rapelling from the Aiguille Du Midi lift station in Cham to drop in is one of the raddest thing Ive seen. Yet, I will not see him smashin rails like Wallisch. And, I would hazard a guess that us older skiers would probably sight the likes of Auclair, Seth, and Candide as the 'best' skiers.

gonna guess you're under 18 and have no idea really about candide or tanner or what both did for the spot, you could even go out on a limp and say most of what people are doing today wouldn't be around without those two.

I guess you could say Henrik is the best freestyle skier in the world, definitely not the best free rider. In terms of someone who does tricks in the pipe, urban, and park, I just don't think anyone touches his versatility

Ehhh, neither Tudor or Pettit have done anything truly groundbreaking in their careers though. They are both ridiculously good skiers, but you have to think about the level of talent back in the day when Candide and Tanner were in their prime; they were years ahead of their time. Those two are untouchable IMO.

i would say it might be Dane. kills it in the park and puts out rediculously good bc segments. not the best at a particular dicipline but possibly the best well rounded skier.
other than that, Tanner, Durtschi, Pollard, and Petit

oh, and the only reason Candide isnt in there is because i dont know how his park skills are now. he may be a amazing skier in certain aspects, but he might not be as well rounded anymore as these others in certain aspects (he has been out of the park game for a while, granted i also havent seen few words yet)

I don't have a specific list of the best skiers in my opinion but I feel Ahmet Dadali definitely fits on the list. He is a very gifted park skier as well as a talented all mountain and back country skier. Also a huge fan of Eric Pollard.

Impossible, but my opinion:  most impressive overall: Candide, Seth Morrison, and THall,
Seth Morrison don't do park, but then again, nobody is really doing what he does!

Andreas Hatveit - such a trick bag on both rails and jumps, he even where a propper pipe skiier when he was younger!

  - Thease days, Henrik Harlaut sets a new standard off whats possible to do, Also TWall, cause of the way he lands, every fu**ing time...

Yeah Gus is pretty impressive in his versatility as well, but I just think Henrik packs that shock factor by doing axes that you just didn't think were possible. Again I think the best freestyle skier a couple years ago was probably sammy cuz he was boosting in park, urban, and bc. But then he got injured and recently his airs have been looking pretty slop. Just like tanner and candide and were redefining what was possible then, henrik is redefining what is possible now.

in terms of park/urban skiing tom and henrik are imo clearly the two best skiers on the earth...but in terms of best overall skier i say pwhite everytime he slays every single aspect of skiing at the top level

Lol when I have finals, and am stuck in norcal, with no way of getting to tahoe, i give a fuck about who is the best. It is just interesting to me who is the best at what he does. It's kinda like why people are still arguing b/w who is going to be the best bball player of all time b/w lebron and MJ. I know its really subjective, but when I can't ski I might as well discuss skiing. I mean that is the point of "ski gabber" right? And to the person making lumber jack joke, I mean rotational axes :)

terrain parks usually make up about 2 or 3 trails on a mountain, so let's say 5% of the mountain. So yeah, i'd say Henrik is one of the best skiers of about 5% of skiing, sure

Can't really label one skier as the best. At all to be honest. . .Whatsoever.

And lol@ people saying Candide, I feel like half of you hadn't been paying attention to him in the past few years and got pumped off of Few Words trailer. He "was" the "best" skier, and I add quotation marks for further emphasis that you can't label anyone as the best, then he dropped off the map. There are favorite skiers, but they certainly aren't necessarily the best.

I don't know if anyone else out there remembers Candide when he made those lttle videods called kaindie camera (or however its spelt). Honestly to this day one of the sickets edits iv seen. Dude charged so hard and straight up killed any line he went after. Craftmanship on the slopes right there. I really don't think you can say any park skier is the best skier on Earth. Id put Darron Rhalves up there as well. Dude charges big mountain like none other. Some uknown or racer has to take it.

I wouldn't exactly call winning line catcher in 2010, and being crowned the world free ride tour champion in 2010, and then doing a 2 year movie project dropping off the map.

The skiing in both Candide Kameras was absolutely ridiculous too, holds up to anything I've seen to this date.
