Strike got me into skiing, I got the movie together with some k2 twin tips for christmas 2005 or 2006 and I remember I was bummed because I didn't get a snowboard but when I saw the movie I realized how fun skiing looked.
Voleurz movies got me to have a more "fun" mindset on the way i ski. especially in comps those movies taught me to be more laid back during comps
“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.” -Ansel Adams
the first movie my pops ever showed me was blizzard of ahhh's (all you kiddies who don't know, please look it up, know your roots!), but the first two movies i bought myself were msp's focused and an old tgr vhs that came out the same year, i'd still watch em if vcr's still existed :(
Yearbook was the first ski movie I ever saw, but the first movie that really got me into skiing was Eye Trip. I'd skied park for a year and a half before that movie, but I never really got into the community until after seeing what could be done on skis.
I'd advise going for 4 tips (two on each ski). -cruth
its so dope how much influence this movie had around pa/central pa skiiers, seriously watching these dudes all shred incubator back in the day was what got me to switch to skiing in the first place. after this season/movie all me and my homies wanted to do was shred roundtop
I cant remember my first skiing movie, but I do remember what got me into freeskiing. I was looking up "cool ski brands" trying to figure out how to be a cool skier about 5 years ago when i stumbled upon Line Skis. It was back when they had that sick slideshow panel of videos, and pictures and stuff and the first video that came up was the very first Traveling Circus, 1.1 Will and Andy go to Hood. I think it was a couple days after it came out when i watched it and it was eye opening to see all the sick stuff you could do on skis. I would wait so anxiously for the next episodes to come out and i would always watch every episode back to back before i watched the new episode. I always still like to watch the very first one.

i was introduced to the beautiful world of newschoolers through JOSS 2009. and then found it again after JOSS 2010 and got on my ns grind.

“This life I am living, what I do everyday, I mean it’s unreal, It’s every single day I ski, every single day I am out in the mountains with my friends, I love so much, It’s like the righteous day, the fullest day, it’s every day man, it is an absolute blessing to be doing what I’m doing and never will I take it for granted” - CRJ
Warren Miller. I was always into park since I was like 7 but I had no idea all of this existed. Broke my arm hitting a jump 2 seasons ago and basically spent a month and a half on the couch it was fucked up so bad. That's when I saw a trailer for Revolver. Bought that shit, it blew my mind, and then I found Newschoolers. And here I am today, knee high on a grasshopper.
the movie that stands out in my mind as the movie that got me most stoked on skiing was Pop yer Bottlez. PBPs movie from 05 or 04 i believe. seeing shaun and callum pettit in it was major for me, seeing as they are only a couple years older than me and they were like 12 when that shit came out haha
Do you think pros have fun when they are training so they can win comps and put food on the table to support their baby momma? Fuck fun its all about the Cash serious people need to eating and eating is not always fun
