Its pretty simple, but can be quite a tricky little job.
You have to turn the little key at the back of the heel piece so that the padlock is open. Then , with a screwdriver, from the front of the heel piece, poke the small insert out towards the back of the ski. (the piece of plastic with the padlock embossed in it)
So you have the insert lose. Hook the insert over your brake now, with the padlock facing backwards.
Then, you have to slide the front of the brake in through the hole that the insert popped out of. You have to push down and forwards, and wiggle it to get it in, its quite fiddly.
Once you have managed to get it all the way in, turn the padlock to closed, and you're good to go.
Hope that helps
(Sorry! I just read that back, and it didn't really read all that well. Its quite hard to describe without visuals!)

no, the insert should look the same with the break in as it did without (like before you took it out) if you look at the break the rubber circle thing has a side that has a little bit of the metal showing, make sure that side is down and the smooth side of the insert is up (like the way you took it out) then put it in, lift hte brakes a bit ot start putting the insert in then wack it with a mallat a few times and it should go in then take a screw driver and turn that flippy switch thinger.
if you didn't get wide breaks an you have chronics or andy of the fatter skis you might have to bend your brakes out a bit so they work properly.
good luck man

They are easier to put back in if you set the binding vertically, with the toe piece pushing down against a table, and the bottom of the binding facing you. It gives you good leverage to slide the brake in.

you know though that you have to have someone whos certified to set the din, toe and heel piece, and vertical release on the binding the first time, right? you shouldn't do it yourself.

^hah, if you know anything about skis and how you like your settings it's better to do it yourself. the recomended din for most peoples size/weight is usually too low.

first of all, if you knew anything about the line binding you'd know that it works totally different than other bindings. thus, it is not set like other bindings. DIN is only part of what keeps you in the binding. the vertical release also needs to be set according to your height and weight but it is totally independent from the DIN. the line binding does not need to be cranked up in the DIN because the lateral toe and heel releases are underneath the boot instead of on the sides keeping you in the binding during hard impacts but releasing during a twisting fall. the vertical toe height also needs to be set so your boot isn't moving around in the binding. they also set the sole length and do a release torque check to make sure the binding is working properly.

also, if you don't have a shop set them initially it compromises the warranty on them.

yes, you need to have them set up at a shop the 1st time. if only for the release check. after that, write down your numbers, and you don't need to go back, except for 1 release check every season.
