Trying to figure out the dimensions of a 20 ft x 16 in hdpe sheet. My friend got a 2 ft by 8 ft sheet for much less than it would be to purchase a sheet fit to my dimensions. It makes sense for it to be expensive, but not as expensive as it is.

What are the dimensions of your box?
20' by 16"?
It's not clear what you're asking.
Depending on how wide you go you need to figure out how many times the width of your box fits into that sheet size and how many of those width/length pieces you need to reach the full length of your box.
Like if you're box was 16' by 1' and you were buying 2'x 4' sheets it would take 4, 4' lengths to sheet your box but you'd be getting 2 of those per sheet so it'd take 2 sheets to surface your box.
I have no idea if that will help you but I tried. Also with sheet the larger the size the more you get raped in shipping charges. I think when you go above 2'x4' or 4'x4' t jumps up a bunch.
