How much is ok to spend on skiing?

I have outgrown my shitty old boots and have to get new ones so i was thinking nordicas double six which will cost me 300euro, but at the same time the k2 domains are so sick i would like to get them too but they will cost me 325 and I already do have a semi decent pair of dynastars (the name is 6th sense or something like that). They are somewhat beat up though and a bit stiff so i would like something bit moar playful buttery kind of. All would cost 625 euro total and im thinking its too much? I got the money but im not sure if its worth it.. Someone convince me to get the domains..

Skiing is worth every dime. If I would have a nicer and less hairy ass I'd leave my beautiful apartment in the red light district of the city right now and earn some dirty cash.

i started out this semester with 2500 dollars. a few months later i have new skis, bindings, jacket, helmet, goggles, gloves, skins, a tuning / waxing kit, and a seasons pass and i now have 37 dollars.

i think op is talkin bout the boots ...

they're basically a softer version of the AoS and deadmoney, no ?

anyways, i've been rockin aos for 2 year now i think and i love that boot ! so if the dubsix is anything like it, i'd advice people to try them on !

also OP, you can't spend enough money on skiing !

that being said, always think of it like this, if you spend 300$ on skigear, that's 300$ you could also spend on skitrips, so you need to weigh it and ask yourself if you'd rather spend the money on new gear or on an extra skitrip in your old gear ...

if i have to buy shit not on proform or from flow its basically 500 for boots 500 for skis and maybe 300 for binders which is about the same amount that you're talking about in euros so yea id say fuckin send it BRO.  you stay in the game long enough you'll find shit for cheap or free then it will all come out in the wash.

It's no need to own 3 pair of skis worth 400 each if you skis 2 weeks a year... c'on ! It's no need either to have 3 different outwears and 3 pair of shoes... Buy according to your need knowing that the gear can quickly become the cheapest part ;) Pass+lodging+transport ... makes wallets lighter..

You mean the boot or the ski? Cause i liked the flex and fit(nordica boots fit me pretty well) of the boot and it wasnt very heavy either. Only thing i fear it may be too soft, can that be a problem?

Get Ace of Spades instead.

I spent a long time at the boot fitter trying both on, and I think the ace of spades are well worth the extra time. They're a little stiffer, but the flex is more natural and doesn't buckle as much around the shin than the dub sixes

I got a -20% off deal on them for this weekend and the store doesnt have the other nordica boots(dead money or AoS). I think the dub 6 will suit me well enough, Ill just add a booster strap if its too soft or smth

It really depends on the person, I'm a bigger dude so the AOS would seem to be the natural fit for me, but I have limited forward flexion in my ankles so the Dub Six works fine for me. Though I do have an Intuition power wrap, and a WC booster on mine so that stiffens them up a bit.

the boots are pretty good but if he's talking the ski, i hate them. i can't butter them to save my life and i've been trying for the past 2 seasons. they can't do anything on groomers and sink straight through snow of any depth

I agree there is no max amount as long as your necessities are paid for. My setup including outerwear is around $900 bucks ( got last years gear and looked for deals), and I don't regret a penny of it. The fun and thrill you get out of that $900 is priceless.

I got a -20% off deal so i got both the boots and the skis. I went for the full tilt booter over the nordica dub 6 because it had a better flex and the heat moldable liner and you can change the flex if you want. They were 500 total and now i am happy. Thanks everyone and Jibberino im sorry for making the shittiest thread ever and being a moron. :)

yea honestly if your just sking park your probably not even spending that much comparatively. Try not even buying a seasons pass and just go sled skiing every day like some people do. Not even including initial costs of buying a sled and gear its gunna be like $50-90 every day just for things like gas and other running costs
