Best exercise for skiing

Hey guys,

It's come round to that time of year again. I am getting hyped and ready for skiing as I'm sure many of you are.

I have been doing exercise at the gym and at home and I was wondering what the best exercise for skiing is?e.g. what kind of things can you do squats, push ups sit ups...

This a really helpful post, but I would definitely give AT LEAST one rest day, otherwise you're likely to suffer from chronic muscle fatigue, which will just discourage muscle growth.

My 2 cents would be that 90% of getting in shape is a good, protein rich diet.

He has got friday down as a day of only stretching and resting, so I would put that down as a rest day.

What kind of stretches are good to do?

My bad, read it too quickly. Deep lunges and, as mentioned, yoga. As well as for straight up training, trampolining can really improve flexibility if done properly.

swim 2 miles a week with 45 pounds tied to you.
dress in all your ski garb and stare into the mirror whilst throwing violent hand gestures twice a day
curb jib when curbs are in sight.
bombdrop at least a five stair 3 times a week
hate on newbs when spotted



....oh and be on ns for at least 4 hours a day to keep that nice bod

did i miss anything?

Not really an exercise but, I always thought snow skating was good for skiing. Snowskating teaches you how to fall...a lot
