Quick question.
When I was looking in shops I was unaware that the '13 model of the Shiro came in 203 cm (193 was the longest they made the ski in 2012.)
I am 6ft5in and weigh 235lb.
So I found a great deal on some '12 Shiros ($560 before tax new including a Nordica 14din binding) and hopped on them only to get home and find that Volkl was making the ski this year in 203 cm.
Should I look to move them and get the bigger ski? Or will I have enough float on the 193? I am pretty happy with this choice of ski since it should work every day and I need to spend the money on season passes and not an additional pair I am just wondering if I screwed up getting the shorter model? I don't think I'd have a problem getting nearly all my money back if I sell them before I use them.
I do ski trees a lot so 203 might be too long for that but I take as strait lines as possible (I am loyal to Volkl I would consider buying Armada or ON3P but they have really really short turn radius's and I don't ski much park maybe hit 2-3 kickers a day.)
Anyone know if the 2012 model Shiro skis long or not? Usually the longest model Volkl make is plenty of ski for me. But its rockered so dunno.
THanks.
