Considering that there are people at Red Bull whose jobs are 100% skiing related, they should have known/knew that it wouldn't make her look good. One of those 100% skiing people would know about that session before it happens. There's two pages of "lol, blackflip, are you fucking kidding me? This is a joke." in this thread. Red Bull portrayed one of their athletes in a bad light to their corest of core fans. Red Bull sponsors skiers because they want skiers to drink Red Bull. If Red Bull wasn't trying to get skiers to drink Red Bull, they wouldn't sponsor skiing. Red Bull only sponsors skiers if they get something in return. Red Bull is not a one way street. By portraying their skier in a bad light, they are making themselves look like they don't know what's going on in skiing. By not being true to their fanbase, they are losing it. It's just bad business.

So yeah, Red Bull needs to care about what their ski fans think about what they make.

You still haven't proven that the context doesn't detract from her exploits. You're hiding women's skiing's lack of progression behind titles awarded within that delayed field. Women skiers don't need to be shielded from reality. The more insulated they are within their niche, the larger the gap between them and the men.

Redbull publicizing this stunt reinforces the lagging state of women's freeskiing, and your apologetic treatment of the dissent only solidifies it.
