yea, god and jesus are the same person. it gets pretty cracked out when you think about it.
Jesus was a human. but at the same time he was God. not just God's son, but God. And he is the same person as God, even though God was in heaven while Jesus was on earth. And then you throw the holy spirit into the mix, and you get the Holy Trinity. All the same person, but also individuals.

Now i have a headache.

well, that is what the catholics teach.. true enough... it seems like the new testament might say otherwise... or at least it doesnt support the idea of the trinity outright, as constituted in Catholosism...

organized religion is but another tool to bring the masses into step anyways. An ancient storybook should not be held as the answer to all lifes problems, a guide and reference from our past maybe, but everything needs to be taken into modern context, not followed word for word.

the bible is not some story fantasy book. you have obviously never read it, you should try. there are countless accounts of prophecies supposably giving from god, and these come true, prophecies that no one would believe, that come true thousands of years later. anyone who takes the bible literally are foolish. it tells real stories, but the times are skewed. miracles happened, real life stuff that is tangible, and cannot be denied. People can think what they want, but until you have given the bible a chance and try to understand someone elses perspective,

^Hume's problem of evil. Pretty standard argument, I hope you're not claiming to have made it up. First of all, it doesn't prove that there is no God. It doesn't even suggest that. It suggests that God cannot exist as he is classified; that is, he must either be not omnipotent, not omniscient, or not wholly benevolent.

Two possible counterarguments.

One: We live in the best of all possible worlds. Ought implies can, if God there is no way God could possibly (logical possibility) change the world without making it worse. Unlikely, but it successfully defeats your argument.

Two: By John Hick. In order to have the best kinds of goods, those good must triumph over some evil. This triumph makes good better than good would be unopposed. Therefore, for the best type of world, evil must exist. Ba-zing.

yeah i definitly aint claiming i amde that one up.
i am a huge fan of philosophy it some really interesting shit. i always find it funny in the metaphysics of like aristotle and a few others the use god to fill in the blanks, so to speak, because it seems like the kind any other explanation

my fav is Spinoza how he just says god is the universe and is indifferent and doesnt care. i heard some good things about hume but i havent fully gotten into him yet

I'm better at ethics, personally, but metaphysics is ok. I kind of prefer epistemology in some respects, though. You should look through Locke's Essay concerning Human Understanding, it has some excellent insights on the nature of the individual, including the famous ship analogy.

As for the whole thing on God not preventing suffering, think of it this way..Have you ever had an experience that was so painful that you thought there was no way anything good could possibly come from it, and then later on after you made it through the tough times realized that you were a better and stronger person because you went through those troublesome times? If God were to remove all suffering from the world, humans would not have free will because they would not be able to make decisions that affected them in negative ways. Here's another analogy I think we can all agree to..Let's say you were a parent, and you loved your child and of course would never want anything harmful to come to them..But would you let them ski, skateboard, drive a car? Or would you follow them around and be an overprotective parent, not letting them experience any struggle which ultimately ends in growth.. That's what God does, of course He doesnt want you to go through harm, but He gives you free will to do what you want so you can learn from your experiences. Just something to think about.
