Hold the phone come back of the year here..I just can't even remotely start to understand why you would be stoked to be a shitty local, why would you want to tell everyone to not ride your mountain that's just twisted in my opinion. I have always wanted to ski baker and this thread made me think is that Baker is full of self-righteous toe rags, so congrats..
it is full of self-rightous toe rags. i made a trip over there from spokane 2 winters ago and ill never go back. bunch of assholes who think they own their shitty rained out mountain...fuck baker
If you're lucky, very lucky you might catch some awesome powder, but a lot of the time Baker is so wet and the snow is like concrete.
Baker is a small ski area; last year we had so many "could have been epic days" if there hadn't been so many goddamn people there overcrowding the mountain.
I never said it sucked? You can do pond skims all season, speed records can be broken on the occasional sub 32 degree day, and they even celebrate non liquid precipitation with off the record "snow day discounts". It might be different, but Baker is a great little hill.
I heard mount baker will be closed this season for renovations. I think they are putting a gondola in from the lower mountain to the summit. Should be sick, next season is going to be sweet unless the el nino comes in.
