My day of skiing on OCT 23!

So today I woke up bright and early to go skiing. We drive up to Boreal...that's a small resort in Tahoe, because they are the only ones open this early in the season. It started raining when we got into the mountains, but that turned to snow up on the pass so we weren't worried. When we got there the parking lot was filling up quick and there was a 40 minute line for tickets. After some asking around we learned that they were selling tickets for $40 which is rape at a mountain with two lifts running and a 'park' with three jibs in it, so we bounced and drove around looking for stuff to jib. Then we skied down a closed highway and jumped off an 8' cliff into a parking lot and hiked for an hour back to the car. From there we drove to the ski shop to drool over all the sick stuff, they didn't have 4frnt so we went to alpine and found out that they had five jibs set up to hike and there were like 10 snowboarders hitting them. So we sessioned those for like three hours, even though my doctor told me not to because my wrist is messed up, but I took advil so it was OK, and it was like 35 degrees outside, but trying to snow so everything was really wet, but my new 686 jacket kept me dry and looking stylish. Since we were being extreme for so long I got really hungry so we went to Mcdonalds and got some chicken mcnuggets. Then we went to the 3:00 premiere of X and Wski106 up in Incline. I won gloves and Matt Sterbenz was there and I talked to him (like OMG!!!11!!!) After that, we headed back to McD's for a crispy chicken and drove home. That is my story.
Keep in mind that this was all done today, October 23...it's not even thankgiving yet. And there's more snow in the forecast for Tahoe.

my day of skiing was a little different. Today me and 4 friends piled into my explorer and drove up to Crested Butte to get some skis mounted. The ski tech dude said that there were people going up to Mount Baldy and riding like 2 feet of powder there. We busted out the map and started driving toward this unknown mountain and it wasn't all that bad until we started getting into snow. The snow wasn't deep at first, but after a while it was about 2 feet with huge ruts. Also one little thing that added to the thrill was the fact that the dirt road was little more than 20 feet wide and on one side dropped 500 ft to the valley floor! We did get stuck about 100 yards from the ''parking lot'' up there and it was super sketch getting my explorer unstuck because of the aformentioned conditions. By the grace of God we arriving and ripped 30 inches of powder all day. We also built a hit and throwing various spins off of it...I stuck a 180 into the 30 inches of powder and rode it out...on my public enemies. Super sick today, with a little adventure thrown in

My day of skiing:
Slept in till 1:00, looked out the window to see the mtn was socked in and cloudy and realized i didnt want to go ski with 4000 LA gapers.
Last two days have been pow days you usually see in december so i cant compain.

my day of skiing. Well I woke up and looked outside and it was dark and cloudy looking like it was going to snow. SO I put on my skis and had and pants and boots and other stuff and waiting... then to my dismay I looked at the thermometer.. which reads 47 degrees and then I also remembered ... hey I'm on the god damn fuckin east coast

went to ice rink, set up a 20ft metal bench, right before we started to hit it we got yelled at, so we waited around there picking through garbage and what not for a while. then went with other people to hit a rail. we used some crazy assembly line roller thing to whip off of which some how worked and hit 20t down rail, and then i went to yearbook premiere.

^Dude, I know from experience, but I was hungry. We went to the Mcd's in Tahoe City for lunch and hit the truckee one for dinner. I just got a crispy chicken for dinner though, didn't want to risk it.

I went today and built a kicker over a creek by the sugarbowl parking lot. I hit it once and we were kicked out. We then went to boreal and walk a little of the mountain and hit a jump a few times. I'm going again tomarrow and buying a pass. Its only 98 dollars or it's 40 for the day. Plus boreal has night skiing in the park which is fun.

skimack, I met you at the Yearbook premiere last weekend.
Sterbenz couldn't make it to the 8pm premiere, but I met Tracy (tahoe20) and saw Courtney (tahoefreerider) there. Got a couple of free day passes to Mt. Rose and Alpine Meadows, met CR's parents, camped out at Meeks Bay, and then headed to Kirkwood.

^^Yeah, I think meeting skier-girls at the late premiere was the main thing lacking from my day and probably would have upgraded it from cool to awesome, but we were both wrecked from hitting rails for three hours, so we just went to the three o'clock show instead. It was pretty chill though.
