Whats the deal with STDs in Whistler?

i keep hearing its the STD capital of Canada, and that the golden rule is to stay away from anyone with an accent.

does anyone have any comments or anything regarding this subject?
Im interested to see what the consensus of fellow riders is

stories are acceptable

touchy subject, but one that i feel people like myself should know about!!

Everywhere claims to be the STD capital of Canada. I've heard it about where I live, Calgary, Edmonton, It's probably not true.

any ski town has a ton of std's, you have about 1 girl for every ten guys and everyone sleeps with everyone. i was talking to my doctor in breck and he told me something like 35-40% of people in summit county have an std.

Lived in Canmore for a while, and i will say that Banff is the champion in that regard. Its so bad that the government of alberta created posters, adds and shit just to create awareness, and try to fight it. 

If you have the intention of living in a ski town you pretty much have to wear a rubber everytime you fuck.
