lets here your most embarrassing skiing experience!
mine is probably getting my tip caught while getting on the lift and flipping off of it or trying to do a drop under the chair at baker and double ejecting on landing

I was just shredding hurricane at pats peak, was going kind of quickly, caught edge and tomohawked 50 yards right under the lift which my friends were riding. lulz were had.

First run of the season, nice wide box, just gonna 50/50 it to get the feeling after a year off.  What I didn't know was that the kicker onto the box was nonexistent..  I ski up to the box, don't pop enough, tips catch on edge of box, faceplant....  All within 10 meters of the park specific T-bar...

Simply 50/50 a 12 foot flat box... proceed to fall on my ass in front of some young kid who keeps lapping it... I then over hear him telling his little brother, " that kid fucking sucks." In an embarrassed rage I went up to him and said, "Watch your tone around elders kid." then skied away. Did not feel to good about it afterword......OR.... Last year I approached a Battleship box going pretty fast. Hit it... and at the top I launched myself upwards. The hang time felt like an hour...I landed straight on my back. Double ejected and one of my skis smashed my head on a bounce, I would prob have a nice scar on the side of my head if it weren't for my helmet. Out of wind, I was struggling to respond to the snowboard instructor and his crew of children that huddled around me that I was okay... pretty embarrassing.

When I was younger and the last year before I had twin tips, I tried to do a ride on box switch and pretty much pulled a Sean Kennedy.

Oh and going pretty fast and hitting some big fat ass box switch and not knowing it was sticky as shit and then proceeding to backflip out of that onto my ass and getting some claps from the t-bar.
Pretty much most humiliating thing I have experienced..

forgot about this one: under a chair idk what the poles are called but they're the ones that hold the chair up and i tried to hit one of the little gaper jumps at the base of one and tap the pole on my right and spin left, did not get the rotation at all, ate the ground for days on impact

hitting a jump one day...immediately lost composure upon getting air born. if u were watching u could tell all hope was lost! either way got caught yelling FUCK YOU!!!!! for no reason right until i smoked the ground. apparently there was a family of four watching there son who was going next, thought i was yelling directly at them big fiasco excellent time haha.

The brake on my left ski broke one night when I was hitting urban went up to the hill next day and when I was fucking around on one of my laps through the small park my ski pops off doing a switch up goes all the way down to the intersecting trail and shoots off the edge of it into the trees under the lift. I spent a good hour looking for it with everyone yelling from above "did you loose something retard". Safe to say I felt like a fool...

so im just cruising up to the chairlift close to closing at perfect north with some friends. all day long id been making google-eyes at this sexy lifty with bright blue eyes. so its one of the last runs of the night and i pull into the chairline. as were pulling up to the lift i start staring at her damned eyes and forgot reality. next thing i know i skiied a few feet in front of m friends and the side of the chair nails me in the back and knocks me on my face. fuckkkkkkk

2 seasons ago in like march at Whaleback during the Salomon Jib Academy I 540'ed the bottom jump in the park and the landing/trail starts to curve out back to the main lift and lodge. So I stomped the 5 (of course) and I tried to look cool by riding it out all the way switch. But since it was a really slushy warm day I caught my edge and went flying into a wooden fence. Surprisingly I was pretty uninjured, elmo. saw this happen.

i went to my local hill on opening day last year there was barley any snow so all they had set up for jibs was a flat rail a down box and a down rail. because there were so few features everyone was just hiking the jibs. so its my first run so i haven't hit a rail in a solid 6 months i go up to the down box, dont pop high enough so my tips catch on the box, double eject and slide most of the box on my face all in front of like 30 kids

Crashed into a ski instructor right below the ski lifts, everybody saw, and he was instructing little kids. I was listening to music when we crashed and a huge snow cloud poofed up when it happened. I tried to ski away like nothing happened while looking back at him and crashed into a boulder right beside a deck-type thing in the middle of the flat WUDDUP.

I think this was at a basin or loveland when I went to visit family out there, but a long time ago when I was little I told my dad I was ready to go all the way up, and not get off at the halfway part. I was going down from the top, and the dude picking up the race flags or something was on the slope. I slipped on ice and kept sliding right into him, and kinda knocked him down most of the slope with me.

Also the one time I went to killington, I was waiting to hit this one like tap/nosebonk feature. And there were a couple of other park skiers around, which was amazing to me cause my hill is like 90% snowboarders. But I went to hit it, ended up having absolutely no speed and hit my tips on the thing and derped. Didn't fall, but I flailed and looked like a noob.

two stories here

when i was about six years old or so my dad decided it was a good idea to send me down one of the blacks at our mountain. skied like 100 yards into a tree and my dad made ski patrol come andget me. FML

this past summer at snowflex i frontfliped off the knuckle and under rotated. landed on the back tips of my skis and double ejected. bruised ribs and to top it all off i literally broke the back half of the binding off my ski.literally flew off like 30 feet away.

plant my pole, strap is real loose and i go go forward while pole is still back there, right at top where there r hella racers staring me down thinking "Wow i bet that kid cant fucking ski"

Sit down on to the lift and lean too far forward, tips catch the lip, double eject and almost fall off the lift.

and the second is a supe cloudy, foggy day. My goggles are iced over and I'm standing there in the park trying to get my glove onto my frozen hands. apparently I french-fried when I thought I was pizza'ing and kneecapped my self on a 2 foot rail. Somersaulted and looked like a complete dumbass and had no idea what happened.

yeah I did this once. was going to hit my first jump switch and it was probably the biggest jump we've ever had at my home mountain. you have to bomb the steep part of the hill. so I was bombing and I switched to switch and just before I was going to hit it I just fell for some reason.

Tried a backflip on a supersmall jump infornt of some polish guys, really stupid and fucked up my collarbone. Rode past them on the way down while holding my arm, they looked at me and I just skied away, ride of shame right there!

After going to camp in the summer, hitting the summer set up, and tramping a lot since i last skied with my dad I took him up to ski one day in late summer. After cruising and few runs on the glacier with him I convinced him to watch a park lap. I was pretty excited to show him the new stuff i could do but on the first jump (probably 20 ft or less) i overshot the landing like a motherfucker and sailed straight to flat, broke my bindings and bruised my ribs. Kind of a letdown haha

Just learned backflips last season (/claim) and, as a freestyle coach at my mountain, wanted to show my class. One of the parents was tagging along with us, which usually isn't a big deal, but they had a camera (sorry, I haven't got the footage yet...) and I was trying to do it laid out. Jump was a little lower than the day before because it was so warm. Ended up catching my tips and landing square on my face right under the chair and in front of my class and my student's parent.

I was skiing with my brother and a few friends of him. While getting on the chairlift (6er chairlift), they decided it would be funny to all move one spot to the right. I was at the far right side of the chairlift and kinda got fucked by that. I tried to hold on the the lift, half sitting, half suspended in the air. I made it for like 2-3m, then said "fuck it" and let go. So I basically I fell off the lift right at the beginning of it. Must have looked pretty funny for an outsider ;)

I was trying to do a 360 bonk on this barrel and at 90 my skis hit the barrel and(i had bad bindings) and i completely ejected and everyone on the lift laughed

Last year, at the end of the day I was going down to the bottom of the mountain swith and ran over a girl's snowboard that was sitting in the middle of the run. Ski patrol was right behind me and saw the whole thing and the next day the girl stands next to me in the line an lunch..

ok so it was another shitty north east day and we had just had freezing rain the night before.  so i was skiing under the lift and was not really paying attention to what i was doing just strait lining down.  so all of the sudden i brake through the top freezing rain part of the snow and sink into softer snow under the crust.  catching both my tips i then double eject going mach 10 and completely scorpion sliding something like 10ft on my face...  i got a lot of cheers from the lift though...

I've had a lot of nasty falls but none of them have been in really visible places so they weren't really that embarassing... However, one extremely embarassing incident does come to mind. So at the state championship high school race last year, it was the start of the GS and I pushed off and started skating to gain some speed before the first gates. Just before, the first gate, I'm getting into position to take on the gate and i lose control of my pole... So between the first and second gate, I'm trying to get control of my poll that is swinging by the strap on my wrist. When I finally got it under control, it still wasn't really in the optimal position so I was pretty rattled for the rest of the run.. Oh well, at least I was only a sophomore so I still have two chances to redeem myself.
