Truth on the pow ski statement.
If I send a large air to firm snow and land on edge with anything less than 14 din the torque on the ski/binding creates the most spectacular pre-release. I ride my park skis at 11 with no issues, the extra width under foot makes all the difference in the world...
A little beef I have with the head/4frnt/tyrolia bindings is that the toe releases horizontally too easily sometimes, and before you assholes get on my case about having them set up right, I've had them tested and they're fine, it's just in strange situations like tip smacking the back of a wallride in a shifty, that edge impact that they sometimes release a bit easy. I far prefer the retention of a full metal fks toe to pretty much anything else on the market...
