Eventually you will realize that working out isn't about who can lift more than someone else. I mean, shit, I've seen guys at the gym putting up over 300 on the bench, but they're fucking fat and worry about big numbers rather than being fit and in shape. I'd rather be able to lift 2/3s of that and actually look good.

...but seriously, I doubt Frenchy can put up anything but the bar haha.

Oh when I said I bench 265lbs., I do a full set of 15 3x with a minute 15 break in between. That's where the monster came in. I estimate my max is 350 2 times. Just a guess.

and thats why i dont. i used to be a fat ass, but have lost 80 pounds to the day. cause i didnt wanna be that fat dude thats throwin up these huge numbers. so thats why i lost weight and now starting to lift again.

Big muscles on a fat dude, is like big boobs on a fat girl. think its cool till you realize it doesnt look good.

No. It will make your ab muscles bigger, but if you want them to show, you need to do cardio and burn the fat off.

I shouldn't really just have said no. To an extent, any workout will burn a little bit of fat, but to get that real "six pack" that every girl drools over, you need to get rid of the fat that is covering up your abdominal muscles. That's why even super skinny kids can look like they have a six pack just by doing like 30 crunches, because they have zero fat to cover up the musculature.

spot reduction/workouts never work to an extent. espically abs. bi's tri's and stuff are different. but cardio for days.

You dont need to be over 200 lbs to do that....

I cant cover the first, but the second one is close (probably 8 or 9), the second two are easy...

Besides, who cares about that stuff? Are you compensating for something? Height or other size related issues..?

Honestly, all people should care about is their personal goals. Mine? 225 for 8 or more reps, deadlifts at 315, and then squats at 275 is fine. I just want to be able to stand my own with my brother. He will always have me, but hey, were different.

There's a lot of misinformation in here. 8% body fat is NOT unhealthy at all if obtained properly (ie: through a healthy diet and exercise versus an eating disorder). And doing core workouts WILL burn fat off of your body; cardio will expedite the process.

He is 193 when he bulks up, but weighs in at 170. You figure out how much of that is water weight.

You must be so cool for hitting 200 in 10th grade. You dont seem to understand the concept of body types. Some people bulk up and maintain definition, some dont.

Point and case, my brother.

Yes he is a ginger.

That is his freshman year. 189

He could put up 225 x8, deadlift 315, squat 315 etc.

That is his senior year. He is 205 pounds.

He could max bench 250+, deadlift 400+, and squat 400+

That was this summer. He was 184 pounds

He can now bench 285+, deadlift 450+, and squat 400+

Is he over 200? Nope. But he can lift more than anyone I have met at that weight and he is toned as hell.
