What do you do to get in shape for season??

Just wondering what you guys do to get ready for the season. I've been doing core and leg workouts; in addition to, some running and hiking. Im looking to be very prepared physically for this season. Post how your preparing to kill it, and any super helpful workouts or cardio you do.

i lift year round something very stress relieving and i enjoy it a lot making progress. Also am a huge runner which keeps me leaned out a bit since i eat a shitload and lift a lot...currently crushing my 13 mile look a few times a week in just over an hour. Very hilly. Preparing for the ski season should have started a loonnngg time ago man. Got another month or so left not much progress will be made until then. Plus once ski season starts guarentee you will quit. Classic workout noobs

I lift year round regardless. But to prepare for winter I steadily increase my amount of marijuana consumption and practice legendary bong rips to prepare my lungs for the higher altitude and sheer multitude of bowls that I will be facing on hill this season. It's a tough challenge but with a little help from my coach and a lot of hard work I think it'll be really productive for me this year.

full body workouts with squats and lunges most importantly...bench press, pull up, dip, row, shoulder press, bicep curl, tricep extension.

2 to 3 times per week depending on your genetics for muscle, and obviously recovery time.

BODYBUILDING helps skiing alot...read up on Arnolds skiing ability. He did grow up in austria also tho.

I never said anything about getting a massive chest ...

But yeah I feel you I didn't read the whole body workout part I was just reading your workout as preparing for ski season and upper body especially chest isn't a huge factor in skiing.. no need to get all defensive and call me an idiot. Did they perhaps steer you towards some "supplements" on BB as well?

Sweet dude, you should probably start competing in some races, as the fastest time ever recorded on this distance is 58 min, and this was by a 120 pound Ethiopian. So since you also lift weights, and probably weigh a lot more, and your route is hilly, you should shed some pounds, and fucking crush that record! NS half marathon FTW!!!

haha shit dam ethiopians...i havent done an official time on it but i usually look at the time before il eave an when i get back to the car and its usually ~an hour 35-50 ish....kinda claimed at first. But knowing this record no way I can beat those dam ethiopians but I think I could get ti down a lot more. Motivation dawg

Well looking at the clock just before you leave and right when you get back is really not a very trustworthy way of timing yourself. And, 35-50 is a fucking huge margin, just sayin. I'm not trying to hate, but you started out claiming just over an hour, which in my world isn't 1.35, not even close. And, if you run 13 miles through hilly terrain, that is really, really fast as well. The record we are talking about are world records, set on almost completely flat routes, so I agree with you when you say that you won't beat the Ethiopians. Not really sure what I'm trying to say here, but I have a strong feeling that you are either claiming, unsubstantiated, or you have messed up your timing. But just maybe you are a freakishly talented runner, but it seems unlikely.

Extra fact: The guy that has the current world record on a half marathon, 58 min, is actually Eritrean. Sorry bout that.
