A-Basin Opening Day...

Just saw Bobby Brown tweet this... "A Basin Opening day is Oct 13th! So close......"

any word on if this is true? I know October 13th was last years opening day, not sure where Bobby heard this though, according to their blog they are still waiting to make snow.

Accuweather says they have a 3-day snowmaking window 11th, 12, and the 13th, but rain all next week and nothing good until arpund the 25th. They may try to pull it off though.

Copper will be open for the ski teams...not sure about pubic.

Cold snap hits tomorrow in the Rockies. Good one too. There should be a pretty decent snowmaking window over a 5+ day period. I would imagine most resorts that can will jump on this.


And just FYI, Ski & Snowboard Las Vegas was the first to open last year.

I will rephrase. Waste of time, money, and resources.

What is the point in covering snow? It will still melt, just slower, and what is left is just dirty snow.

What are you doing with it? Setting up a ribbon of death it looks like for what..a summer rail jam? That is fine, again, makes no money but good PR.

It is not like you are going to keep your snow all summer.

Copper is starting up so the athletes on the ski team can practice before beaver creek opens up...i wish everyone could ski. copper is so much closer to me than a basin. Im not looking forward to 45 minute drives 5 days a week in my 18mpg Yukon just to skiiii a packed ass crack...

Abasin and Loveland will be first. But Who. Either way im going. I just hope its A basin cuz i ski that WROD FOOOO FREEE
