I have slowly grown to dislike the way medical marijuana has gone over the past few years. Sure some people need medical marijuana but the problem is it has been a way for people to legally smoke marijuana. This has caused an explosion in dispensaries and they are no longer for the real patients. They are in for the money.
If you walk into a dispensary marijuana can cost 2 times as much as it does than buying on the black market. Now more and more people get recommendations leading to the spread of propaganda bullshit from the medical marijuana scene.
The reason for prop 19's (California's initiative for legalization) fall back in 2010 was caused by the medical marijuana industry and its patients. The reason they were against the bill was, it wasn't full legalization. Washington's I-502 has been a target for medical marijauna along with Colorados amendment 64. In Washington Medijuana groups say the testing while driving will put their patients at risk for a DUI. Right now it is zero tolerance with thc for everyone. Even patients. If anything its better if they have this test because the test is actually determined on cannabinoids that give you the high. Not the ones that are stored in your fat that don't give you a high. Today the tests law enfacement uses only find the fat soluble thc and will give you a DUI if any thc is present. THC can be stored in your fat weeks after you have smoked.
All these initiatives are basically legalization of marijuana, with some limitations. Its better than the current laws. And less people will be going to jail. The medical marijuana bubble end is coming. The road to legalization is medical marijuana, decriminalization, then legalization. It's time to move forward in our failed prohibition and drug policies. Billions of dollars have been wasted on the drug war and its time for change.
