Looking for a skier/boarder type roommate. Both us of guys that live here now work up in LCC part-time in the winter so we can carpool if you like.
It's a nice 3 bedroom place with 2.5 baths and a 2 car garage. It's in a great neighborhood in Sandy near 8600s and 2000e. The rent is $460 a month. The rent includes a lot of value for the money. The room is huge as in around 16' x 18' and it has 2 walk-in closets and a full bathroom with a shower and vanity counter. The garage is pretty big too and fits a jeep cherokee without issue. The trash is included as well as the yard and garden maintenance. We have a pear and apricot tree and the gardens look nice from the back deck. The room for rent also has a nice view of Superior and the Wasatch front. As for utilities: They usually range between $35 - $70 a month depending on how much heat we use in the winter. The place also has a swamp cooler that works well. The rest of the house is furnished with all the regular stuff: couch, TV's, appliances, tables, dishes, etc. and you are welcome to use that stuff. Also there is an extra Full size bed, a sealy mattress/boxspring and frame that are free to use when you rent the room, it's in pretty decent shape and it's clean. So that's the details.
Our landlord is a really nice dude, who is not nosy, but he is going to want to add you to the lease. We are looking for someone to rent to May 1st of next year (end of the ski season) and if you want to stay then you can stay after that. I remember when I got added on the lease here I had to fill out papers that involved a credit check/criminal check, so be prepared for that - if I recall I paid $30 when I did the papers here as an application/credit check fee. Hopefully we can find someone who can pay the standard "First Month/Last Month" sort of arrangement. By paying your last month's rent up front it allows us to hold it as a deposit until you move out of the place and the landlord finds it damage free. Also for some reason if you bail in the middle of the night and move out that money can be put towards rent until we find another roommate. We are willing to discuss any reasonable options though. Also, a dog or a cat is allowed here but the landlord charges a $300 pet deposit I believe. We are cool with an animal if you have one.
So yeah shoot me a message here on NS and I will get back to you. Thanks!
