anyone else pumped for this movie? casino royale was sick but quantum of solace wasnt all that it was made out to be in my opinion- do you think this one will be good or will it just mark the end of good bond movies

i own the entire bond collection, i've seen every bond movie and anyone who dismisses a single daniel craig bond film should go back and watch what bond was before daniel craig played him (it's all cheesy as FUCK and ridiculous and every film has to be taken with a pound of salt because they're all so fucking retarded, i mean they're fun to watch but they're also the stupidest movies i own). with that said, i thought casino royale was boring as fuck, cheesy as a bond film should be but there was only one action scene, at the very beginning. quantum of solace was cheesy and full of action (essence of every bond film except casino royale). i highly doubt i will be disappointed by skyfall or any of the other daniel craig films. very stoked for skyfall because this bond is actually growing as a character.

I actually really thought Casino Royale was very good, one of my favorite movies, and I mean outside of bond movies. Daniel Craig has brought bond to and acting level that has never before been seen. He represents bond very well, not just sex and gun fights. The new bond movies are actually realistic. I mean when is a lazer going to be on the moon? Never. But terrorists trying to play the stock market, then cover their loses, yes, that is a believable plot. I for one loved the last two, Quantum of Solace didn't really have a good plot to me, it just kept going (if that makes sense), but still was overall a good movie.

i loved casino royale- such great acting and the whole poker scene was incredible- quantum of solace just struggled in my opinion- hopefully this one is incredible, which judging by the trailer, it should be

I think Daniel Craig is a good bond too. I've seen most of the modern bond films, but not all of the old ones, but he seems to have a decent grasp of the role.

Just got home from seeing it - was really really good. I'd go as far to say the best modern bond film for a while.

Just really classy, action, hot women, the usual!

Anyone else seen it yet? Would highly recommend.

It's not out yet here... probably seeing it on Friday. I think it's going to be entertaining, as always. It looks like Craig is bringing some Layer Cake to the role, which is fantastic because I love that movie (if you haven't seen it, you should). In my opinion, the new Bond films are not really in the same category of films as the oldies. They are all great in their own way. I watch the oldies for oneliners and ridiculous gadgets - I watch the new ones for high-def thrills.

i love all bond films, theyre such classics.
but bringing craig in and changing up the bond status is the best thing that ever happened.

its like comparing dark night to batman forever, theres just no comparison.

True that! Sean Connery and Rodger Moore were the best james bond's. I thought the last few were okay, nothing outstanding. I also don't really like Daniel Craig as Bond, James Bond isn't blonde, but i will say he's pretty badass, Bottom Line: Old Bond movies > New Bond movies.

Daniel Craig is doing a pretty good job I must say. Movies are really good in my opinion, more realistic and spy-ey.
I really enjoyed Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. And I'm really looking forward to Skyfall

The earlier Bond films with Connery and Moore were visualizations of Ian Fleming's original novels. The newer Bonds are the products of different authors with different styles. Fleming liked Bond to be more cunning and discreet.  The newer Bond films portray Bond as a more in-your-face brute, much different from what Fleming had in mind.

Casino Royale was the first Bond movie that was actually a movie rather than just pure pulp.

Argue whether it's the best Bond movie on the basis of what makes James Bond James Bond, but judging objectively as an actual film, none of the ones that came before are even close. Looking forward to see if they can get back to that with this one. Quantum was foregettable garbage, terrible writing.

just saw it last night, was pretty fucking dissapointed, wasnt that good at all. story was so long and drawnout, and had pretty much no point other than its impossible to kill 007.

Man with the iron fists was waaaay better.

i thought it was awesome. totally reinvented bond and brought it back to the old classic roots. it set up for a great next movie while being extremely entertaining and cinematic. it wasn't a very bond-esque movie but i think that was the point

God this is so weird, I havent heard a single bad thing said about the movie but when I saw it last night I really didnt like it to much, dont get me wrong, the movie was fucking fantastic. Its just I felt like it could have used more "Bond" then it did.
