Story time! Tell us the tale of your worst haircut. I'll start with two:

1: I somehow let my mom talk me into letting her cut my hair once when I was around 12. She couldn't get it even, so she kept taking more and more off to get it even. It never got even. I wore a hat every waking hour for several months.

2: Haircuts scare me. They're almost as bad as getting shots. I always worry that the hairdresser will mess them up. As such, I went to the same hairdresser religiously for at least ten years and probably longer. If I was away, I would go without a haircut just the wait to get my hair cut with her. Then I somehow got haircuts at a few different places. I liked them. I went back to the usual hairdresser a few times, and realized that she actually gives by far the worst haircuts I have ever gotten. So much for paying her extravagent prices and getting terrible haircuts.

not really a haircut problem but one time i got gum stuck in my hair. had to cut it out then it left a big chunk. so i had to get a super short buzz

i used to get FROSTED TIPS. i shit you not. i used to get blond highlights in my hair and spike it, back in grade 10. oh my. the shit people do that they think makes them look cool. looking back on it, fuck i was a douche. i did that i think for a year, and then grew the fuck up and realized it didn't make me look like brad pitt.

hahaha those are great. I love the stories when someone's parent's gave them a haircut and they kept evening up the sides back and forth until eventually they end up with no hair left.

my mum always used to give what I thought were splendid haircuts.

My story ended with an emergency trip to the hair place. We were going on vacation... imagine spending the whole trip with the worst haircut of your life? I was pretty young, so I don't remember it well, but I do remember the sinking feeling when I looked in the mirror.

This is why I just shave my head now. Dont have to worry, and after 2 haircutes, buzzer pays itself. Plus I just do a fade, and keep the top long, get some pomade to slick it

I needed a trim really bad, so I went for a $12 mall haircut. All I wanted was a trim. I came out with a "layered" mullet. I cried. A lot. I ended up later that night standing in my bathroom removing the 'underlayer', whatever that was supposed to be. I was able to at least show myself in public afterwards. I will never settle for a haircut ever again.

some how i let my cousin's black fiance convince me to let him give me a haircut, He's like, "yeah i give guys in my fraternity haircuts all the time, its how i get my beer money" so he got a pair of paper sissors and whent to work, it didn't turn out pretty. also that same day my friend had his dad cuting his hair, a buzz cut, and the piece that controlls the length fell off so he had a streek of blald on his head, so they had to shave the rest of his head, he looked like a cancer patient

when I cut my long hair off, the gal gave me the worst haircut ever, she did it like chin length in front and really short in the back, like a reverse mullet, she wouldnt let me go from really long to really short

no pics of said haircut but i ended up cutting my hair really short like the next day, after this:

i used to have longer hair and always stressed about haircuts, but then i got out of middle school and got short hair and realized that it doesn't matter and to stop being a bitch. so yeah, now i just keep it short. its pretty hard to mess up a haircut like that

Haha great thread. I was getting a buzz from my dad one time and while buzzing the top of my head the blade came off so it was just the straight blade. Safe enough to say I had a huge bald spot for a couple weeks. And to make matters worse it was right before vacation...

I totally agree. I tried to keep a long cut all throughout highschool, and I was never happy with it. I had them do layers, I had them use a razorblade to 'mess up' the cut a little bit, the list goes on and on. Now I go to the hair place and ask for a #2, faded to a #4, with matching short scissors on the top and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. A cut like that has me looking great for a month or two because I now know how to style my hair.
