My dad scared me by telling me if i am doing flips and i under rotate and break my neck my life is pretty much over. I want to try my first misty flip but that scares me what should I do.

man up and get a grip on your life. Don't let your old man live your life!?!?!?
And I practice flips into the pool off a 1 meter diving board with some buds. I'm not gonna take it to snow for awhile but someday. Pools or trampolines would be a good start.

if you land on your neck on a misty you shouldnt be anywhere close to even trying them

Pretty much this. Worst case scenario on a misty is you underrotate and land on your hip.

you didn't already know that?
but that is true. it's a risk you definitely have to weigh carefully before deciding to do inverts. and it's another reason why it's very important to make sure you have flips dialed into water, on tramps, etc. before you take them to snow.

do a million backflips on a trampoline. wait till late season when its soft wet snow and do a backflip out of the end of the halfpike. its easy as fuck.

You'll be okay. I went for a 35 foot rodeo last weekend and slammed straight on my back/side. I was fine. I got up and tried it again and landed it. If you just even semi commit to inverts then its pretty hard to yourself.
All times are Eastern (-4)
