Building rails

I live in a crappy area that has some pretty good hills, lots of AWESOME backcountry stuff, but no real parks. So I'm gonna take it upon myself to build one. I don't want to make this a HUGE thing, but I do have access to welding equipment if I need to. I would like some tips like how high, should I put any kinks in? What material (I don't really want to invest in steel pipes for my first rail if I don't have to) will wood or pvc work? How should I put it in the ground so it's stable?

I just read the above post and basically I said in there I was gonna build a park... what I meant was just a backyard rail.

yah pvc will work but be carefull what you try to do with it because it will crack and for the hight and kink part all that stuff is up to u

u make boxes with wood and puckboard and rails with rails.

haha there was a rail at my school that was sick, i say was because we broke the cement that held it in and stole the son of a bitch, it make a great lawn feature
