Ok guys im new to skiing been boarding the last 5 years, but I want to try skiing out. I really need help picking out my first pair of skis! I ride in the Pocono's mainly and i want a pair of park skis cause thats were i ride the whole time. What do you guys suggest is a good pair of park skis for packed snow. Also im about 6 foot 180 pounds if that helps.
Whatever is cheap and/or used. At this stage, any ski will for most people. Best thing to do is start learning how to ride again and once you're comfy, get out and demo as many skis as you can this year - most demos are free, and you can take the ski up for a few laps and then grab something different to try. Next year, go for whatever you liked the best.
i understand but i just want park skies cause there like so versatile and i can use them in the park, and i can ski already im not a pro but i can ski like any normal person.
