Line Reactor 10 Bindings

My fiance has been snowboarding and wanted to get back into skiing. I acquired a pair of never used 2004 (I believe) Line Skogen Sprang Pro Model skis from my cousin. They came with a pair of Reactor 10 bindings that were also never used. She brought them to a local shop to have them set up and they told her there was a recall on them and they therefore couldn't mount them.

I'm not saying they were lying, but the kid did want to buy them from her and told her that the company had changed hands, so they might not be aware of the recall. It just sounded fishy.

Does anyone have any information on this?

If the binding has been placed on the indemnified than shops will no longer work on that binding because the manufacturer will not cover lawsuits. I'm prettty sure that binding is on the not-to-be mounted list so he's right, but that being said and seeing how he works for a shop he probably just wanted it for his personal pair of skis that he could mount for himself. Or he's just a collector

haven't heard about these in years...

but yes they were recalled which means the shop is liable once mounted. also the binding in 8+ years old, which is the time frame where shops will stop work on bindings no matter what.

so i'm sorry but it looks like you'll have to bite the bullet and purchase a pair of newer bindings.

Yes, those bindings were recalled. No shop will touch them. The kid was just probably looking to buy the ski since it is a fun ski, or like said above to have it as a collector's item of some sort.

If you want to use those skis, you will have to buy new bindings.

Cool, thanks for the info. She bought a pair of cheap bindings from them, so she'll be all set. Just wanted to make sure we weren't being taken for a ride.

So...does anyone want to buy a pair of 6 year old bindings that have been recalled?

I'll give you $50 for the skis and bindings. I'm sad I sold my reactors, would be dope just to have them as memorabilia
