Kelly Sildaru - Best girl skier

So maybe she doesn't have the biggest bag of tricks. But it's big.... for her age... and especially because Kelly is a girl.

She's the best because she's pushing girl's park skiing harder than anyone else I can think of. Yes, age has to do with it. Think about it... when was the last time you were in the park and saw a little kid throwing down harder than you, convincing you to send it? I could be wrong, but I'm sure the girls are watching, and I'm sure it's pushing them to go bigger.

She's also not just skiing around until the comps, and then trying to do well. She actively promotes herself, and look where it's gotten her... k2, Red Bull, Nike 6.0....

I was just talking the other day about how I've never really seen a girl do a blunt 9 that I can think of... Then she releases her season edit from last year.



Best wishes to Kelly for another banger season, can't wait to see what she will accomplish.

she progresses way faster than the top women at the moment. i really hope kelly inspires the women pros to start going about 3x harder than they do now.

That edit was fucking sick. Amazing to see progression like that, those sevens and nines were on point and I cant believe that she has the strength to stomp that shit at such a young age on such big jumps.

She hasn't even hit puberty yet... Imagine when she is a foot taller, twice as strong and even more confident. Im amazed she has the physical ability to half of those tricks... unreal

One more thing, this is incredibly impressive for anyone boy or girl. Shit this edit for a 19 year old wouldn't be half bad. The track shes on she could be as good as the men at age 20. Give her 5 or 10 more years to progress, god damn

kelly really isn't "the best" female park skier. plenty of girls can do  flatspins and rodeos and other tricks she doesn't yet.   I can think of a lot of ladies that don't get the respect they deserve for killin

I've seen all those.

Jess is the only girl I've ever seen do a flatspin, everyone else does wackflips (which are fine, but not as hard or impressive). She has a pretty big bag for a girl, bios are cool, that dub is obviously cool since it was a girl throwing it.

Maude has a sw cork 5 that looks good, and she did a bio 5, but Jess still has her on amount of tricks I think.

Maria did sw 9 and 10, and what looked like an accidental bio 5 besides that nothing in there was really standout otherwise.

You're missing Devin Logan, who kills it.



Here's why Kelly is still arguably the best:

1. She caps blunt
2. She actively promotes herself on a level that very few other girls do, which shows (look at her sponsors)
3. She doesn't have a bunch of tricks, but she's working on spinning both ways
4. She caps 9 and sw7 blunt

and all that is amplified by the fact that she's 9 years old.

Half the age of most these other girls, she already has better style than your average little 9 year old boys that throw down.

It's not really about just straight how many tricks the girls can do, but more about equity.



The title of the thread was more to garner interest than anything, but she's still way up there in my books.


On a side-note
I guess this thread should probably be "Best girl park skier" because Suz Graham does shit that no other girl would ever think to do. Sends it way harder than any other girl I can think of, and was on the level of a lot of girls are today in park jumping 6 years ago.

I was just thinking..what would the cops say when they go to bust an urban session and find out it's a 9 year old girl?...There's a lot of comparing to just other girls going on, but really she's probably better then well over half the members on here, regardless of gender.

best rail game I've seen from a gal, period. The jump game will only get better, but is still insanely impressive (spinning both ways already??!?!). Stays healthy, she will be the preeminent women skier.
