I realized that there are an incredibly wide array of people on this site....so I got to thinking it could be cool to write questions for specific nationalities or regions (South, West or East of NA).

So for all you Swedes out there - what beer do you typically drink? What is a good Swedish beer?

not necessarily. University of california schools (UC schools, ucla, ucsb, Berkley, uc davis) are pretty competitive amongst in state and out of state but you will definitely find more in state kids than out of state but they are pretty difficult to get into. To be honest popular destinations for colleges from people around the country to merge into one place are places like arizona and Arizona State. Arizona state is the big one it has the most students of any university in america. it has a 92% acceptance rate. It's still a good school Because its a well known university but they get people from everyyyywhere. New jersey chicago lots and lots from california Really just allll over the place especially the western USA. Since California schools are so competitive many kids from california go to schools like Arizona and arizona state. Or just go to california state schools which are half a step up from community colleges. But the south has Ole Miss as their school that lets a lot of kids into. University of illinois allows a lot of students in so a lot of the midwest kids end up there. The north west is much like california in that the schools are much better so kids there usually travel west to places like ASU and illinois. Mind you the kids going to those schools are the average student that has trouble getting into respected in state colleges so they need to go where its easier t oget into.

Because we don't know enough about other countries to come up with witty and humorous questions.

Besides, have you ever been here??? Texas, Maine, California, Whatever states are up there by the big lakes........They pretty much are different countries. We all speak the same language(well pretty much) but with a country this HUGE there are massive amounts of local differences. Hell Pennsylvania and New Jersey are like two different countries and they're states that border each other.


Canadians, did you guys really invent doggystyle so you can fornicate AND watch hockey??? Is your passive militarism due to an army the size of hockey team or is it because of your french roots??

Brits, do the welsh really love their sheep more than their wives???

Kiwis, is it true 3/4 of your country is held together by fencing wire and zipties??

Aussies, is it true that EVERY single one of you knows how to surf??? and does anyone actually live in the middle of your country??

Japanese, why is it every one of your TV shows seems to be trying to out-weird any other broadcast in the world.

Because in an attempt to separate ourselves from the old country we eliminated as many u's from our vocabulary as possible ex. color or favorite. Naturally the hard u pronunciation fell from grace shortly thereafter, unless you are discussing the chewy center of a tasty candy bar.

Because our diet of mostly corn products, butter, and white bread has left our digestive tracts less productive than an Irishman on a barstool, resulting in a body type larger and softer than your typical belgian pastry chef.

Or if you're referring to the lower half of the US, then it is because their diet consists of 85% fryer oil.

Yes, it's absolutely useless.  I live in England now and for some reason people here seem to work in millimeters, inches, feet, meters and miles.  They need to make their god damn mind up.  Also people use the most primitive measure of mass ever; the "stone" it's just so useless.  METRIC FTW!

Cheaper to mass produce new bills at alarming rates if they are all the same color. No they are not hard to distinguish as they have this thing on all four sides called a number, it helps us determine which are for looking baller fanned out in pictures and which are for stuffing in g-strings.

Yes, there is a welsh guy on my university course and due to the agricultural courses at my campus we have a couple of fields of sheep. He has been known to release said sheep round the campus twice when drunk, i woke up to a herd of sheep outside my window on one occasion.

Americans, does it suck have such a late drinking age?

Not really, we just have to spend our early years getting pissed up out of the view of adults. Campouts and parties during high school have just as many drunk kids as a local pub has drunk adults, we just can't drink in pubs til we're of age.

Different states DO somewhat mean different nationality.

We have different laws in different states, different economic and taxation systems, every single one has their own individual governments.

The biggest similarity amongst the country is that we all share for the most part, the same language... but i'll tell you... you put me down in cajun country, I won't understand SHIT of what someone down there is saying.

Different regions have vastly different dialects (not quite like britain does, but similarly) Texans speak different than somebody in Alabama. They are 2 states away, but speak far differently.

Someone in Portland speaks way different than someone in San Francisco. they are only 10 hours away by car. (listen to the slang they speak...)

Different areas of the country have different stereotypes, just as different countries do in europe.


...it's a lot more similar than you think to different nationalities (I for one, don't own a USA flag. I do own a California and an Oregon flag though, and my roommate and I have them posted up proudly)
